And if she either ran away or aged out of the juvenile system, her records would probably have been purged when she turned 18, or 21, depending on the state. It was to let young people with troubled pasts move on with their adult lives without having to worry about their youthful mistakes turning up, but it makes the searching a lot more difficult.

This is what happened to Patricia Taylor.

Ok. There is a thing that drills my head: where is that promised nightwind's groundbreaking announcement?

I have saved his blog to my favourites list. I find it an entertaining read. He is a good writer. I agree with some of the things he says, but definitely not all of them as some of his views IMHO are a bit over the top. Anyway, I think he is a bit more concerned about the Pandemic Lockdown at the moment rather than WCJD. Then again he did say that the Lockdown was slowing his research/investigation a bit :)

Has Simone Ridinger been ruled out?

Has Simone Ridinger been ruled out?
Most likely since she is listed on the charleyproject website, meaning that they have her DNA. WCJD's DNA is also in the database and if they were a match, it would have hit already.

Thinking about you today! <3

I see this young girl in the youth home video has also been said to resemble WCJD. But I think she is the model of 18yr old Judy Gail Jurgens, missing from Minnesota.. actually, Judy left home for Texas in Oct 1982 with a said boy 'Curtis White', who returned home without her!! I came across that particular story on the website "Whereabouts still unkown", with the usual MP pages not naming him in her Missing Circumstances. I suppose it could be said that Judy is actually missing from Texas if the boys story is true and that was the last known place she was at! It makes one wonder if she ever reached Texas st all. In that case, the poor girl could be anywhere! X
Nice find! Something that caught my eye, Judy's eyebrows seems to be more thick than the girl who is thought to resemble WCJD, you should submit her anyways.

Ridinger's NAMUS doesn't show WCJD as ruled out, and her Doenetwork page (The Doe Network: Case File 1255DFMA) says she has DNA in CODIS, so she's likely ruled out by default.

But she would be a bit older than WCJD's estimated age and might not have been compared because of that. The resemblance to Carl's most recent picture is pretty startling.

There really is a resemblance..... Would it be possible for them to overlook Simone, do you think? Is that what you're saying? I wonder is @CarlK90245 has ever considered her? I believe Simone would have been 20, so that is not too far off, especially with WCJD possibly having told the waitress she was 19.

I found a couple of younger photos of Simone on a Facebook Missing page for her....cropped to compare: 97892883_2638342416387569_1281888239950495744_o.jpg 1385298_154363494773133_1014158178_n.jpg 10303442_10204245243360423_1767675517324680167_n.jpg 1377608_154363651439784_939736822_n.jpg 45166199_2221317624756719_8260092794568179712_o.jpg Screen Shot 2020-05-27 at 4.20.39 PM.png

I don't see how they could have overlooked her. Simone's case is pretty prominent as well as WCJD's...

Right, I agree...but weird things happen? It is more likely someone who shares a resemblance, but I looked at this again, and thought of Simone. Hopefully the new sketch helps

One detail though, I forgot to point out, and found kind of interesting

Simone has a small mole on the right side of her upper forehead.

WCJD: a vertical scar measuring one and a half inches[13] at the edge of her right eyebrow

Question: the bite mark on WCJD . Are we clear where it was located? I have found sources saying near shoulder, but then just found this: "Further investigation revealed that the cause of death was asphyxia due to strangulation and it is believed that the female was deceased for less than a day prior to discovery. The body was also found with a bite mark on the mid back area as well as severe injuries to the face."

The reason I'm asking is a bit odd...Simone had a birthmark, or a mole in similar area of her back.

Perhaps I'm reaching....just noticing another unusual detail similar to the scar and mole on right side of face. Biting off a mole would be pretty bizarre, but ??

I think they tried to reference that the bite mark was on her shoulder, I think she looks promising, you should forward her tip!

I'm curious if she has been considered. Hoping CarlK might log in and reply, since he has put so much effort in. As carbuff said, it would seem so unlikely they would overlook Simone, or really anyone who is listed with this much time having passed, but something is just kind of nagging at me here. I would like to know Carl's thoughts first....

Thank you for the podcast and off course the wonderful new recon of Jane Doe by CarlK. My personal feeling is we still getting closer to what she looked like. There were a lot of creeps out there then AND NOW! Wowww. And I keep one thing to my chest said in the Podcast is that the most logical, simple theory is probably the right one. Have to add this...a lot of talk about boys killers....but we all know she was a girl...horrible to hear this kind of experiences....and I could add a few...I really think we should stop searching for her in the "standard" missing person files...that is really went exhausted, seen it done it...she's not on it.

I apologize for asking a question that has probably been covered earlier in the thread, but was DNA ever extracted from her?

  • #140
DNA samples were taken but apparently the results are not the right type, and/or the sample was not sufficient, to do the kind of genealogy work seen in successful cases these days.
