TX TX - Jason Landry Missing After Car Found Crashed Near Luling, 14 Dec 2020 #7

  • #281
You are correct! Blood spots were found on Jason's underwear that were located on the road not far from his vehicle.. The Texas Monthly article mentions it: A Missing Student, a Suburban Mom, a Mysterious Facebook Profile: Inside the Jason Landry Disappearance

Blood stains on underwear are often a sign of foul play.
But if he took his clothes off inside the car, climbing out a window against the barbed-wire fence, he would have likely cut himself on the barbed wire. OR...he climbed out a window and the barbed wire went through his clothes and underwear and he took his clothes off after he climbed out of the car. Wasn't the driver's door against the fence?

Which begs the question... was his shorts, underwear and/or t-shirt torn/ripped by a barbed wire? It's been so long I don't recall. Just a spot of blood on the band of his underwear.

I agree....his clothes should have a rip or tear. I am sure his Dad knows since he gathered the clothes. I just feel like he is out there somewhere close. Hidden very well from the elements. I hope he is found soon.

However, Jason's wristwatch was found, carefully folded and placed on top of his shoe.

Articles state the various items that were found, including wristwatch, but could you please provide a link to the very specific statement about it being found "on top of his shoe".

Thanks Seattle !!

Going back to the link at New details released in search for missing Texas State student posted earlier, would someone check out the cell phone video from the father? It looks to me like when he picks up the shirt, the watch is under it. Under Dec 14, 2020 SEARCH FOR JASON LANDRY: Kent Landry cell phone video. The one that starts with the flip-flops (also at SEARCH FOR JASON LANDRY: Kent Landry cell phone video you have to wait for an ad to finish)

Does this look like the watch to anyone but me?

It is MOST definitely a watch IMO.

At :12 in his dad says "and this is his t-shirt", then picks it up and his watch is seen lying underneath. I've tried several times to get a better SS of it but that site isn't as easy as other sites to grab stuff from videos. This is the best I can do.

Yes, and I recall his father describing finding the watch, laid out flat, which seems quite placed. Not sure that's significant, but it's not like he just threw it down. It looks like he laid it down. And covered it with his shirt.

None of it makes much sense.

It never seemed placed to me as everything else in the road looked dropped, not placed. Like he was just shedding everything he wore and dropping stuff left and right as he walked down the road.

And a falling watch with leather straps can land multiple ways:
  • Face up
  • Face down
  • Both straps laid out flat
  • Both straps folded either over or under
  • Upper strap laid flat, lower strap folded (either folded up or under)
  • Lower strap laid flat, upper strap folded (either folded up or under)
Or balanced on one side if I'm the one dropping it. lol

Shoes were in a different spot than the watch.

All JMO!

Yes, that is how it looks to me. Laid out flat with the shirt placed over it. But I'll be honest, this reminds me of a case many years ago where a girl was out in the cold and stripped all her clothes off as she was running, also from a car. In that one they declared hypothermia resulting in paradoxical undressing. So JMO.

But depending on the watch type, it might just have flattened itself out when removed. Some don't flop around, but are inclined to stay flat. I could not tell, though. Was it shoes off then shirt, or shirt, then shoes? It the one video, the father was parked right next to the underwear, with shorts and sock visible ahead. If I were to track backwards, I think it would be watch (removed first because a lot of people take off their watch before removing a shirt), shirt, shoes (in the father's video, facing different directions, yet close together), socks (far apart), shorts (or one sock, shorts, the other sock), then underwear. That, to me, seems like paradoxical undressing.

It is such a shame that all of the land in the near vicinity could not have been searched way back when.

Watch would have had to come off before his t-shirt since it was under his t-shirt, not on top.

Agree. I was just pointing out a possible reason WHY remove the watch at all. Some of us NEVER remove our watch except to replace the battery. If my watch is off when I die, my kids will be all over the police that it's suspicious. Just a reference.

Thanks Seattle !!

I recall this came from his father in one of the podcasts-- that dad found his watch laid out flat, resting on his slide (shoe). It's been 5 years, and don't know if I'll readily find this quote, so please don't hesitate to modify my reference.

ETA: I see others have found photos/evidence of the wristwatch.
