I am trying to understand the “going down for this” comment. And why she would understand what was being cleaned. This is JMO and complete hypothetical but what if they did have an awful fight and in the heat anger one of them or both hurt the child? And the child didn’t die right away, but was severely injured and didn’t get help to avoid involving CPS and LE. And the baby then died while she was left untreated, leaving DV to dispose of the body? Just completely hypothetical scenario but it’s the only way I can make sense of what has happened here.

It all comes down to where was BB when Maleah was walking into the apartment alone with "stepdad". If she was at the airport or on a plane leaving then she is in the clear that way. It does not keep her from being charged with more.

I’m sure law enforcement is trying to hone in on where to look.

She could be just about anywhere, so it’ll be a matter of tracking down his movements during the timeframe he likely dumped her body.

Within this video, and many other mainstream media, they are finally correcting themselves from initial reports and saying that it is the mother's boyfriend now. It never was The Stepfather. Mods, would it be appropriate to update the thread title also now? Or is that not doable or warranted?

It all comes down to where was BB when Maleah was walking into the apartment alone with "stepdad". If she was at the airport or on a plane leaving then she is in the clear that way. It does not keep her from being charged with more.

I don't think all this drama would be occurring if the facts were that cut and dry.

That makes the “understand what was cleaned” part make more sense than anything I’ve come up with.

Right now we KNOW:
Maleah was last seen alive 4/30 @ 7:54am
Maleah never again was seen on video leaving the apartment.

What we need to know:
Was anyone else in the apartment when Maleah and DV arrived home 4/30?
Was there another way Maleah could have left the apartment dead or alive beside the laundry basket?
What time did BB leave for the airport 4/30?
Did BB leave with luggage?
Who was with Maleah for the hour DV was at work on 4/30?

That video must have also captured BB leaving for the airport but that portion hasn't been released by LE. I'd like to know why. The msm articles say they obtained the video from "Law Enforcement sources" so I think LE (HPD?) released the video as opposed to Q and BB?

Sorry, I’m just catching up after leaving work. Are you referring to Burton? He doesn’t seem to be a pure criminal attorney (as people would typically have in a high profile case), nor does he appear to be a court appointed attorney, he is in private practice. He is either being paid by DV/DV’s family, or else he might be doing it pro-bono, but that seems rather odd (not typically the case an attorney would take pro bono).

She boards the plane hoping the child recovers/improves/survives without medical attention, but she doesn’t. Then DV is cleaning up, she should understand, and he’s not going down for it alone. MOO
