Coco, Town Lake is part of the Colorado River and is quite large. Central Texas just experienced severe lake and river flooding in the recent months so the lake levels are still high and water currents flowing fast. In fact, just a few hours ago Austin EMS rescued a person stranded on an island in Town Lake-which has been re-named Lady Bird Johnson Lake:

I am wishing the rescued person is Martin...
Ugh. I knew Town Lake was part of a larger water entity, did not take into account the recent flooding. That would for sure affect the current and how far a person who fell in would be swept away. It would be absolutely awesome if the rescued person was Martin! Any word yet?
