Coco, Town Lake is part of the Colorado River and is quite large. Central Texas just experienced severe lake and river flooding in the recent months so the lake levels are still high and water currents flowing fast. In fact, just a few hours ago Austin EMS rescued a person stranded on an island in Town Lake-which has been re-named Lady Bird Johnson Lake:

I am wishing the rescued person is Martin...

Ugh. I knew Town Lake was part of a larger water entity, did not take into account the recent flooding. That would for sure affect the current and how far a person who fell in would be swept away. It would be absolutely awesome if the rescued person was Martin! Any word yet?

No. I am monitoring all local news and listening to scanner in Austin. If I hear anything I will report it-except anything I hear on scanner of course.

Thanks Starry N.
I do see on your earlier post with the Twitter feed it said “no further updates planned” after the person denied need for medical attention. Surely they would have let the public know if it had been Martin. Keep praying.

Please let this be a good outcome for Martin. Hoping and praying for this.

I just can't get this young man out of my mind. I was praying he would be found safe by now. Where are you Martin??

I’m so sad and bewildered! We have such limited information. I’m going to offer some thoughts just for the sake of inspiring some more discussion.

1. Martin’s brother says the owner of Alibi showed him video of Martin acting strangely. In most reports I’ve seen, the brother says specifically 3 things that were strange about Martin’s behavior. First, he was isolated and on his phone while his friends were talking and interacting. This doesn’t sound that odd to me... but do the friends there that night think it was strange? And when they parted with him was he acting normal or not? Second, brother says Martin “sprinted” out of the bar. Third, and he’s vague about this part but brother says Martin was making some sort of movements that were odd and out of character. ???

2. There’s absolutely no reason (save for extreme disorientation from a medical event or drugs/alcohol) for someone to leave that area of bars on foot and venture many minutes to the water or toward very dark not safe areas. WHY NOT JUST UBER?! Even if his phone died, bartenders will usually charge it for you a bit. Even if you’re going to meet up with someone secretively, you still don’t walk in the middle of the night, you uber to them. And surely by now LE would have an idea of who he was texting and calling and if there’s any useful info there.

3. There has been no suggestion that he was extremely drunk. Was he drugged? I know that idea gets thrown out there quite a bit in these cases but I can’t think of a scenario that makes sense for this to have happened. Does anyone else? And it doesn’t sound like it would have been in character for Martin to get excessively drunk or take drugs voluntarily when he had a stable life and work the next day.

4. The call to the friend at 1:27am, the last time anyone heard from him... I really want to know who that person was to Martin. And how did he sound on the phone during that conversation?

So where does any of that leave us?! Lol, nowhere closer to anything. I feel like perhaps the family and LE are holding back a few pieces of the puzzle, as always.

Just trying to get the timeline straight..was the phone call at 1:27 AM while he was at The Alibi? After he left? What was the time frame he was at this bar? If this wasn't the 1:27 phone call, I wonder who he was talking to on his phone at the bar.

The Heavy article posted above mentions another camera picks him up walking down the street about 10 min after he was seen sprinting out of the bar. So he ran out in a hurry and then...what? He was no longer sprinting ten minutes later.

This is a bizarre case and I so hope this man is found safely, but I am getting a bad feeling from it. If he was safe somewhere, I feel like he would have contacted someone or come home by now.

If he was just seen leaving the bar normally, my speculation would be that maybe he accepted a ride from the wrong person so that he could get home. But the fact he was acting oddly and then ran out--I don't know. Why would someone run out of a bar? To meet up with someone? Because they had been drugged? (I wonder if this video footage showed him drinking anything else at the bar, maybe a drink someone else bought for him). This is just weird.

From Heavy.com article. "Around 1:27 a.m. on November 19, Martin called a friend, according to his phone records. He asked for a ride home, but his friend was working and couldn’t pick him up, KVUE reported."

So he did try to get a ride home...was he then trying to walk home at the time and realized it was too far or he wasn't feeling well? Confusing case.

I get a de ja vu feeling with this case- sounds so very very similar to Adam Gilbertson's case. Totally heartbreaking, if this is Martin that was found deceased. Whoever it is, may the rest in peace, thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
