Either that, or her attorneys had advised her that looking away or showing distress might indicate guilt to the jury….
Oh, and I just remembered KA had over $6K of worthless plastic surgery... lol. moo

Ferrara has stepped down from the witness stand to closely examine the bike. The black bike has the red water bottle that we have also seen in the photographs. It is fully intact inside the evidence bag. This bike is estimated between $10k-$13k.

Collected prints from the door, window. Took DNA swabs from blood stains on floor and Wilson's body. We are examining photographs from the crime scene, including the stains on the street. The bicycle in question has just been brought into the courtroom. It is covered in evidence plastic. It is being brought up to Ferrara. ADA Jones brought it in wearing blue surgical gloves.

An evidence envelope is being opened in front of Ferrara. Armstrong is taking notes at the defense table. All attorneys are being careful with the evidence and all are wearing surgical gloves. 22 fingerprint cards were taken from the apartment. A diagram on the card shows where the print was lifted.

Wow - that must be hard for Mo's family. For a serious cyclist, their bike is almost an extension of their body. It's very personal. :(

Fire cartridge cases are being examined. Ferrara says they are all 9mm casings. The packaging surrounding the bike is now being cut open. The bike is being removed. This is likely the first time the Wilson family has seen their daughter's bike since before the murder. Mrs. Wilson had her head on her husband's shoulder. She lifts her head up to examine the bike from a distance. Armstrong looks on from her seat.Ferrara shows that she swabbed the handlebars and the seat.

Interesting, isn't it. Perhaps they're not so much notes as sketches of all the courtroom exits.

The court is taking a brief recess.

We are now looking at photographs that Ferrara took of Caitlin Cash after the murder occurred at APD HQ. Her eyes are closed and she is standing up against a wall. A closeup of her face. She appears tired and sad. A closeup of her hands. There is blood on her left ring finger. Remember that Cash performed CPR for at least seven minutes before police took over.

For a quick second, I wondered why the reporter was reminding us that CC performed CPR. Then I realized, CC would herself had to have been cleared as the murder suspect.

CC had to have been very, very traumatized. I hope that she has been (somewhat) able to heal.

Court is back in session. Defense questioning Ferrara. They are examining the bike together. He is questioning why she chose some areas of the bike to swab and not others.

Defense asks Ferrara to assemble the bike in the courtroom in the position that it was found in the bamboo brush. Those in the jury and courtroom crane their necks to view. So does the judge. Some jury members seem disinterested, I will admit, and don't bother sitting up.

Ferrara admits she does not know how the bike got into the bamboo forest. There were no signs of it bike tracks in the grass. She admits anyone could have placed it there.

Defense questioning about the packaging and transportation of the bike from the crime scene to APD. Ferrara cannot remember who transported it or who was in charge of its safe delivery. Ferrara says there was no disagreement among crime scene specialists about what to process.

Defense questioning about transfer DNA and cross contamination. The defense asks why it's important to not cross contaminate evidence? Ferrara struggles to answer that question. Doesn't say anything. After 10 seconds of thinking, defense has "no further questions."

Ferrara says if she could go back to that crime scene again, she would not do anything differently.

State seeks to help her out with redirect: Ferrara admits she doesn't know much about DNA processing, only collecting swabs and admitting into evidence. But knows why cross contamination is not good.
