Interesting. Jason also “weighed in” on the Gabby Petito case. How did he become involved with the KA case? Or is he just “weighing in”, offering insights - aka guessing - like the rest of us?

Jason Jensen is a private investigator, and co-founder of the Utah Cold Case Coalition.

Private investigators told NewsNation tipsters allege Armstrong may be going by her sister’s name in New York state. In an interview with NewsNation’s Marni Hughes, private investigator Jason Jensen said he believes she’s using the alias “Christine Armstrong.”

“Three days after Kaitlin was seen in the New York area, an address popped up in New York state, Livingston Manor, where it was in Christine’s name,” said Jensen. The investigator added that Armstrong is from Michigan and could also have left the country and traveled to Canada.

I wonder what they meant by "an address popped up." That's the Catskills area. I wonder if they can track purchases, etc., under that name to determine that if her sister was in one location using her ID, cards, etc., to buy items, and someone by that same name and address is using them states away around the same time, which would be impossible.

Yes, that would be telling. I hope this can lead to her capture. I don’t suppose her sister would risk harboring her in the Catskills…..you never know, though…..

We cannot sleuth KA's sister, and it is possible that KA may only be using her sister's name, but it is not a stretch to assume that they look enough alike, that she could pass for her sister, if someone was not closely checking, That leaves me wondering if she using her sister's ID for travel and accommodations. If she is only using a name as an alias, without providing ID, it would seem less risky to use an alias with a different last name. So if she is using her sister's ID, we have to ask, how did she get it? Was it stolen from her sister? Did her sister "lose" it, and KA conveniently happened to "find" it? Was it given to her, and if so, by whom? I believe answers to KA's whereabouts may be soon forthcoming. JMO

BBM.
Agreed. The New York state area (sister) would make sense of the incident of being dropped at Newark Liberty International Airport, because train and bus lines at Penn Station which go upstate can be easily accessed from that airport.

I’m now wondering if the sister residing in NY might’ve been the reason for traveling from Austin TX to NY LaGuardia in the first place. At that time, there were no charges and no warrant.

BBM above - that's for sure! Don't even plant the "Armstrong" surname in anyone's mind as you attempt to purchase items.

LE would likely be monitoring any and all databases for KA and any name they MIGHT think she was using as an alia. Databases that track things like power, water, internet, new Identifications, new credit accounts, etc. It is pretty amazing how much information relating to those kinds of things gets fed into searchable public information databases that are available to a host of people via subscription (i.e. Lexus Nexus). It does not seem like a rash assumption to say among those that names that would be monitored would be a sister close in age. It also doesn't seem so far fetched that KA might try and establish a residence in a relatively small place like that under an assumed name to wait this out. It does make one wonder though whether or not this is indeed some evidence of who has been helping here and whether or not her appearance at Newark's airport on May18th was in fact some misdirection and/or a jump off point up to the Catskill area as there are a myriad of ways to make that trip fro Newark. (Newark Airport (EWR) to Catskill - 5 ways to travel via train, bus, and car).

Yes, it does seem to bolster the Newark airport drop off.

Wow, what a terrible position KA has allegedly placed her sister in, IMO.

Things are heating up.

The suspect was apparently has ties to a camp ground in upstate New York. There is also the possibility that she may have assumed her sister's identity (perhaps supporting the ability to purchase an airplane ticket sans TSC being alerted and leave the country / area via Newark).

Especially since Kaitlin and Christine sound somewhat similar. It's not like the sister's name is Maude.

This seems so odd to me:
I haven't been camping in a while, but campgrounds don't strike me as the type of place requiring an ID. Why not make up a name? And what fugitive chooses an alias that's...... her real last name! I can see using her sister's name once to board an international flight, but why risk compromising your "alias" unless it's critical to do so? And lastly, we're still a month behind her. Sorry to sound so negative but I guess late news is better than no news!

Looks like it was a "property record" and she may have camping with her sister just after she landed at NYC.
Camp Haven

Camp Haven

Looks like only 5 tent sites in the whole place. Amazing that they tracked her to such a tiny place but still can't find her.

Interesting… RSBM and BBM.

According to documents obtained by Jensen, which have been viewed by The US Sun, three days after Kaitlin Armstrong was last sighted, a person identifying themselves as "Christine Armstrong" registered for a driver's license in New York.
"It makes you wonder if Kaitlin borrowed or stole a passport or some form of ID from Christine before she left Austin and has now used it to get a New York state license with her photo on it."

I wonder if this man is friendly with KA's sister and she told him about being interviewed by LE, or if LE showed up to the camp site to interview her and word got around.

A man who identified himself as a camper at the Camp Haven compound...told Fox News...that Armstrong’s sister, Christine, had been staying there for some time and that he had seen Kaitlin Armstrong, 34, about a month ago.

"She was [here] a while back," he said. "Right before the whole thing blew up."

... [he] said U.S. Marshals and other law enforcement interviewed Christine Armstrong afterward.
