Though I doubt KA would nonchalantly put herself on a ring doorbell before immediately committing first degree murder... I am curious about what I am seeing here. Really hope there is some video evidence that keeps the first degree charge irrefutably in place.

IMO, KA was obsessed with everything about MW and I would not be surprised if she didn't know the time her flight arrived in Austin!

A May 19 arrest affidavit filed by police in Travis County District Court reveals that Strickland admitted to trying to hide his communications with Wilson from Armstrong by changing Wilson’s name on his phone and deleting texts. The affidavit cites a tipster who alleged Armstrong came to believe Strickland and Wilson’s romantic relationship was ongoing as of January 2022.

Armstrong had contacted Wilson several times and in one instance told her to “stay away” from Strickland, one of Wilson’s friends told investigators, according to the affidavit.

TOTALLY AGREE. KA was obsessed and cyberstalking MW since Jan Remember the affidavit stating KA had just recently "re-followed" MW on instagram? And we know she was in CS' phone to block MW, so she probably spent a good amount of time each day stalking his own personal items re: her, too. JMO, MOO.

To my knowledge, there's been no reference to surveillance or evidence from a ring camera from the host residence-- only electronic lock evidence when MW opened the door using a code specific for her use.

The ring camera evidence cited of KA riding her bike, and later of her vehicle, was from an unidentified neighbor. MOO

I agree, but that certainly does appear to be a Ring doorbell. Perhaps it was installed after the murder, or perhaps it was not functional. JMO

Thanks, I agree, it's a bit farfetched. APD seems to hold some details close to the belt for a while though, and whatever doorbell/smartlock situation we see in the picture is our only witness! Hope that thing has eyes.

So, had KA been following them around the whole evening…to the pool, etc.? Did she run home to PU her gun then? Did she drive past them when they were on the motorcycle going back to where Mo was staying but they did not see her?
Or something else?

I don't think she drove past them as she got to Maple Ave about 10 minutes before they did. It's possible that she was at the pool and burger place earlier but I suspect that she would have been captured by the same cameras CS's bike was captured on and that info would have been in the arrest warrant affidavit. The affidavit states:

8:16 PM Strickland and Wilson leave the parking lot of Pool Burger on Strickland's motorcycle
8:26 PM Armstrong's vehicle drives northbound on Maple Ave and then westbound on East 18th St
8:35 PM Strickland drives northbound through the alleyway, north of East 18th St, on his motorcycle

My guess would be that she was tracking them remotely... done simply if she knew CS's log in for Find My Mobile/iPhone (do we know what kind of phones they had?). AirTags have also been mentioned by others on the thread before, though I'm not sure where she'd hide one on his motorcycle that he wouldn't discover.

Regardless, IMO, she had a plan in mind for at least hours if not longer. I'd like to know when CS set up the pool date with Mo and was it done over text or a call.

Great -- good to see a follow-up news report because I've wondered about a couple of things:

From the Fox News link of 7/13, we learned that CS initially denied [to investigators] knowing the victim, MW, a 25-year-old fellow riding pro, when they first interviewed him after the murder.

From the AA dated 5/17, we learned the following:

Investigators learned about CS from MW's host and quickly located his identifying information as a pro bicycle racer on SM, and fully identified him through his Texas DL.

On 5/12, Lone Star Fugitive Task Force drove to the address on CS's DL and identified KA's jeep as seen in the host's neighborhood surveillance.

Also on 5/12, Detectives Spitler & Ayers responded to CS's address where CS agreed to drive to Austin Police Dept for a formal interview.

While CS was being interviewed at APD, authorities executed a residential search warrant at his residence where they located two firearms as described by CS. [Two iPhones belonging to KA were also seized per Fox 7/13].

Also, KA was located and transported to APD by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force for an outstanding Arrest Warrant (class B misdemeanor), and questioned about her Jeep seen driving past the host residence where MW was killed. [KA told the investigator she learned from CS that MW was deceased].

CS told Detective Spitler he had not spoken to KA since 5/13.
CS has cooperated with the investigation and voluntarily provided statements to the homicide investigators.

My questions:

Did CS make any attempt to contact or communicate with MW after he dropped her off on 5/11?

*I'm curious when CS first denied knowing MW?
Was the denial when detectives first approached CS at his home or when he was at the APD?

Did CS know before detectives were at his door that MW was deceased or did he learn this for the first time from the detectives?

If not, how did CS say he learned about MW's death?

*Did authorities threaten CS to cooperate with the investigation and provide information about KA?

It's possible that KA and this guy had dinner together a few times and he is calling that a "date."

Former CIA officer Tracy Walder joined NewsNation’s “Rush Hour” on Wednesday to discuss the significance of the warrant and what authorities hope to find.

One focus of the investigation has been whether Armstrong had help hiding from authorities. Walder believes Armstrong’s boyfriend, cyclist Colin Strickland, is in an interesting spot.

“I’m not certain that I think he played a direct role in the death of Mo Wilson. … However, I think what’s going to go into place is, what did he know? And did he try to cover it up, for example, when he found out the police had confiscated her phone and he provided her with a new one? What did he know? And when did he know what about when she was making purchases at Walmart to buy the burner phone or the prepaid debit cards? I think that’s what’s going to be important there,” Walder said. “I really do not think that he played a role in the murder itself. I think what it’s going to come down to is … what role, if any, did he play in in sort of covering it up and helping her escape?”

At this point, he is not facing charges and has been cooperating with police. He is not listed as a suspect.
