It is very interesting that she told Teal A. That she was "traumatized"about past relationship, and she told something along these lines in a Bali retreat. Before CS.

(The article from the SUN was already discussed here, but either KA has a traumatic situation each time, or it would be interesting to find out what was the end of her prior relationships. Did her prior partners suffer as the result of a breakup, lost jobs, were accused by her, got jailed, something else? It is a pattern of taking revenge on the men who, as she feels, do not value KA enough?). MOO.

I very much doubt that she's murdered before. Possibly a history of disastrous relationships though, with a build up of hurt, resentment, anger and eventually fury developing over the years at people continuously not treating her 'right', just a guess and my opinion only, no evidence.

Now that you mention it...google Carolyn Heckert in the cases of Diana Ault and Sarah DeLeon.
Paul Holes did a DNA of Murder episode on the murder of Sarah DeLeon.
They haven't managed to pin anything on Heckert yet for sure, but the FBI has reopened the Ault case.
Background: Sarah DeLeon was found murdered in '89 and Diana Ault in 1994. Someone finally connected the dots and realized that Carolyn Heckert had been the jilted girlfriend of Deleon's boyfriend in '89, and had had an affair with Ault's husband in '94. Additionally, there may have been a third attempt on someone else back in the 80's.

From what we learned at the presser by US Marshal, it appears that upon arrival, KA took a shuttle from the San Jose airport direct to Santa Teresa. I think any traveling around (for surgery) happened after she settled in Santa Teresa and not before. MOO

IMO, KA is beginning to appear as a typical insult collector -- entitled, nothing ever her fault, and believes killing MW was justified. Just like KA walked out after receiving Botox treatment without paying, she did the same with bus fare in CR. Rules don't apply to KA. I believe evidence will soon show KA to be nothing more than a murdering fraudster.

By this time, I would have expected to hear from friends and/or acquaintances in Austin telling of how KA must have had a psychotic break, and this was not the KA that they'd come to know. But instead, we're hearing about CR men she encountered and manipulated while playing the victim of a traumatic relationship.

They actually mentioned Jaco Beach and "other lodgings" where she used aliases. They didn't say she went directly to Santa Teresa, but they didn't say she didn't either. They referenced knowing the route the bus took from the airport and that's where they started their search.

During the investigation in Costa Rica, it was learned that Armstrong traveled to multiple destinations to include San Jose where she landed there at the airport to Jaco Beach and to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica.

It was discovered Armstrong used different names/aliases. Under the alias of Beth Martin, Liz and Arie Martin, who she advised to uniformed officials at Don Jon's hostel in Costa Rica. Armstrong used these names at yoga studios and other lodging since her arrival in Costa Rica on May 18th.

Officials involved in the investigation conducted old-fashioned law enforcement techniques, went door to door, conducted multiple interviews going from yoga establishment to other yoga establishments and also made contact with lodging venues that she had left behind, which then paved the way where Armstrong was detained by authorities at the Don Jon's hostel located in Santa Teresa beach in Costa Rica.

[Q:] Can you please shed some light into some of the details as to how you found Kaitlin Armstrong, what cities in Costa Rica you were looking at, why you know the establishments, what were the key tips that came in, how did you procure them to find them?
[A:] Yeah we developed that information through the course of the investigation by these three investigators that stand before us which then we learned through HSI that she boarded that flight to Costa Rica. Based upon that we know she was very into the yoga community, that was really her practice, and then when we were able to establish communication with the foreign nationals in Costa Rica. They too have have contacts in their local communities and know, you know, the area much better than anyone else and they were just doing old-fashioned police work uh where we concentrated where she took a bus from the coast, from the San Jose airport in Costa Rica uh to hours away. They knew the route of that bus and so that's where they started boots on the ground and I'm telling you it was old-fashioned police work. They learned, you know, that she signed -- they showed a picture -- they knew that she signed the books there under these aliases and that really started the trail of narrowing down a path on Kaitlin Armstrong.

BBM... This is the first I have heard about KA not paying her bus fare. Usually, doesn't one pay bus fare before the ride, or at the beginning of the ride, not after. It hardly seems likely that a fugitive, wily enough to skip out of the country and evade LE for as many days as she did, would be stupid enough to do something illegal, that may bring LE right to her, especially when we know she had the money to pay for the fare. Do you have a link to that information?

I doubt it. I think she has lived in Austin about five years, IIRC. She is 34 now, so I would think she may have had a few exes before she hooked up with CS in Texas. Would be interesting to hear from some of them, about what kind of partner she was. JMO
