He stated suspects (plural ) will be brought to justice.

A shooter could have targeted innocent protesters. Perhaps some thought should be given to hold the protests outside city limits where the police are able to protect the protesters, residents, property and themselves. JMO

Here comes the spin. "Well planned". Paris was well planned. San Bern was well planed.

Do I think folks last night agreed with one another and discussed where they would stand, yes.

How could something be well planned? Noone knew a cop in one city was going to kill someone? Who could have known another cop in another city was going to violate the law shortly thereafter.

We have to remember that last night, was a result of the above-mentioned crimes, how could anyone even know a march was happening until the 24 hours before the country found out about two more incidents of exceesive force, aganist AA citizens??

@BrianCurtisNBC5

.@DPDChief says investigators have learned attack on Dallas officers was 'well planned, well thought out' @NBCDFW #NBCDFWNow

Law enforcement officials have not publicly confirmed his identity, but Dallas and Mesquite police officers cordoned off a house Friday in Mesquite that is listed on Micah Johnson's drivers license.

Detectives and crime-scene technicians removed bags from the home on Helen Lane before leaving a little before 11:30 am.

Chase Young, who lives around corner and a few houses down, woke up when Mesquite police cruisers set off his front motion-sensor alarm.

"They've been going back and forth, back and forth since 1 o'clock," he said.

The Dispatch calls are absolutely heartbreaking to listen to.

I think the idea or a general plan had been festering for awhile and he (maybe they) seized the opportunity. They had to make some quick decisions about where and when, but based on how they carried this out they spent a lot of time working out the details. JMO

If our soldiers and ex-soldiers are barred from owning weapons, then exactly who should own one ? Nobody ?

The entire argument is ludicrous, not to mention unconstitutional.

Perhaps this discussion should be taken to an NRA forum...........................not this one. TY JMO

This is exactly what I was afraid of last night. BLM is stating this wont stop them and for that I am thrilled, just thrilled. But , just IMO, I really beleive nationwide, it might be better to just wait a day or two.

That blue code, is going to be intense, everywhere- why invite more dispair . Its human, people do not function as well when stressed. At some rally tonight, someone does something that cops on edge feel as problematic and they all go nuts, we are just going to have more and more sadness.

Rightfully we cant stop a march, thank god, but I hope everyone just takes a night or two off. This is a very dangerous place right now. Everything needs a calming time out. IMO

Ferguson was IMO totally not ok as far as LE went. Completly handled wrongly .

People are fragile now, collectivly we are coming off of two AA murdered this week, cops murdered, terrorists over seas going nuts, and a mass shooter going nuts.

We need a break imo!

All cops aren't bad and racist. Some cops are racist and too ready to use force. Most cops are doing a very difficult, dangerous, and often thankless job.

All BLM protestors aren't bad and anti-cop. Some BLM protestors hate cops and see them/fear them as the enemy. Most BLM protestors are objecting to the actions of a small minority of cops who use unnecessary and sometimes lethal force against blacks, because they are racist, subtly or more full blown.

The majority of cops pay a steep price for the actions of a few of their own. The legitimate complaints of the majority of BLM protestors are tainted by the actions of a small minority who piggyback off BLM to express their rage.

Anyone can use anything as a justification for killing, but a killer's justification doesn't reveal any truth other than the fact of their own twisted hate, and their disregard for any life other than their own.

I wish something good will come out of this horrific tragedy, but my sad guess is that it will only intensify existing polarizations of every kind.

BLM leader giving a statement. Will work with authorities on a proper investigation. Extend condolences to families of victims. They believe that black lives matter, but also that blue lives matter, too. We can work to heal America.

Good statement.

I'll believe them once they change their name to All Lives Matter

And seemingly irrelevant to this topic, IMO.

I haven't read anyone making that argument in relation to Johnson.

Peace.

You can have everything planned, bought, and stowed and waiting for the right time. Obviously, the perps did not do all if that yesterday after the protest was announced.

Repectfully, just asking.

If there were a mass shooting at a GM factory, and employees wanted to pay respects etc, I do not think their employeer would let them be on the payroll while doing so.

Do we know if all the cops standing there while waiting for the cars to come out of hospital were being paid for that? Are all the cops coming to the cop car to put flowers, are they being paid while they are doing that?

If half of the force is suppossed to be protecting a huge area, and are leaving there areas to place flowers 2 districts over, and something happens on their beat, that is a problem IMO.

Or are they just in their outfits while they are doing these personal things, before or after starting their paid shifts to protect areas??

Private sector will not pay staff to attend to personal things--just wonder if taxpayers are paying for all this. In overtime??

Just wondering................

I wonder about this too and I'm sure they have a way to address it. Imagine how many LEOs will be in Dallas for the memorials and services - does sending that many officers leave precincts vulnerable? It happens often enough they know what they're doing but in the current climate I worry.

I imagine whatever they pay comes out of their budget. A private employer is in business to make money so maybe they wouldn't pay OT, but LE isn't trying to turn a profit.

Slain Dallas cop was former Wayne Co. sheriff’s deputy

Charles E. Ramirez, The Detroit News 11:39 a.m. EDT July 8, 2016

One of the Dallas police officers killed during a Thursday night protest over fatal shootings of black men in other states was a former Wayne County sheriff’s deputy, Sheriff Benny Napoleon said Friday.

Among those killed was Michael Krol, who worked in Wayne County jails from 2003-07, the sheriff said. Krol, 40, was a former resident of Redford Township.

Napoleon also offered his condolences to the victims’ loved ones, friends and colleagues...

This is stunningly sad and heart breaking. I want to repeat what the police guy on tv said. I think it is SO important today----

Most days, we do not feel support. I am asking that today is not one of those days. Today, we need your support. Please.

And I agree. Today is the day to lead with love. Leave any police bashing at the door today. It is not the time or the place. I think it is extremely sad that most days are days they do not feel support. Thats beyond sad.
"MOST DAYS WE DONT NOT FEEL SUPPORT"

This is how the men and woman that are sworn to protect and serve feel?

Yet they put on that uniform and come to work every day or night leaving loved ones behind, possibly to never return.

God...
