Imo he became a cop killer cause he saw , again, in a short peroid of time, two cops , far apart, murder two people.

Can you imagine, being afraid if your tailout is out you could end up dead .

On the video, the cop was obviouly not stable and a person without a tail light , in braod daylight is dead

that is the reality here IMO

Do I condone last night , of course not , but there is cause and effect.

Confident last night would not have occurred if the two people had not been killed by two white public servants

jmo

Absolutely, and the dominoes fall from there. I'm sure there will be more targeting of LE now. And none of it would've happened if not for a very bad 24 hours. What a mess.

Last night look at all the time and energy wasted on this - if it was not legal for him to walk around in public with machine gun ................

Didn't stop Charlie Hebdo or Bataclan theatre despite the strict gun laws in France. Gun laws might deter crimes of passion where someone is angry and a firearm is immediately accessible. They don't deter assassins and terrorists who plan methodically. If they can't get guns they just make bombs. You can only fight terrorism by fighting the ideology behind terrorism.

A woman interviewed on CBS11 said the man, whom she identified as Mark Hughes, was her friend and he was not involved in the shooting. He was simply “open carrying” his gun during the protest.

He was interviewed by police and left the station with his mother, Fox4 reported after midnight. He was expected to make a statement later in the day on Friday.

I will say this, I always support cops. But I have been guilty of thinking to myself "you're a real hero" when getting a speeding ticket....I think from now on I will keep some thank you cards with Starbucks gift cards in my car to give them for all they do. Watching them run/drive in to an area where someone has a vantage point to rain bullets on them from, to try and end the threat...just no words. These are heroes and angels among us. I am really scared for these men and women. If it was my spouse I would be begging them to quit. What will happen if this because something that keeps happening? Will we have enough people wanting to be cops? And I will say, our friends are ok, but that joy is fleeting because I know someone else is carrying a burden of grief.
Very nice post, ty! I'm happy your friends are ok. That must have been a scary wait for you.

My brother works in Dallas and he is pretty upset by events. They hold their police dept in high esteem. That city is going to be hurting for awhile.

Folks. Imo. This has nothing to do with BLM just like The club killing had nothing to do with isis.

The killers simply didn't like a group of people and used the name of other organizations to feel more justified or for newsworthy sake. Jmo.

Has a sniper ever showed up on a Jessie Jackson or AL Sharpton or a Malcolm X protest to solely shoot cops.

No. Jmo.

Context and history - if cops quit shooting AA that are not be threatening this will cool down casue / effect

BLM did not arise in a vacuum - it exists cause there was , night after night, watching cops kill AA males.....

This is not at ALLLLLLL what happened last night. I have heard exactly ZERO reports of :

-Brent Thompson
- Patrick Zamirripa
- Michael Krol
- Michael Smith
- Lorne Ahrens

killing any AA males. Stop making excuses. These men died while working. I hope you never have a loved one killed and then a whole herd of people who come and say why it makes sense. These 5 did nothing last night but show up to keep the peace and serve the community. Show them an ounce of respect.

What would be wonderful, is if some of the empathy, benefit of the doubt, protection and understanding which has been extended historically to LE would start to be extended to POC. The police always reap these benefits, to the detriment of POC. I'm not saying not to empathize with police, rather, we should recognize that the unequivocal support shown to LE has resulted in these currently hostile, distrustful times. This situation has not arisen out of a vacuum. BLM was born out of the discrepancy of LE activities towards POC vs. whites. Criticism of police does not equal being "anti-police". That people are so reflexively defensive says some are desperate to hold on to the status quo in this country. It's not working out very well. Maybe it's time for a change.
I absolutely have empathy for POC that are innocent citizens if they are shot and killed by LE, such as Philando Castile. That was horrible and the officer shouldn't have been an officer. 100%.
Now, you want me to extend the same empathy for career criminals that get shot by LE during a chase, pullover or arrest? Nope, not me. But the same goes for a rogue cop. They should be removed from the force and prosecuted when discovered. But I shed no tears for criminals that have rap sheets longer than my arm, sorry. And that goes for black, white, yellow, brown, marshmallow caramel, etc.

Excellent article from HuffPo....

Don’t Blame Black Lives Matter For The Deaths Of Dallas Cops

Statement from BLM:

"However, just because the movement aims to end police violence against black lives does NOT mean it encourages violence against police by black people. Black Lives Matter has never, ever insinuated that other lives don’t."

"Let’s be clear: Black Lives Matter is an organization that spreads love, not hate ― and it condemns violence altogether. We should focus our energy on remembering those who have lost their lives to gun violence, both this week and every other. We must destroy vicious ideology that claims the Dallas shooting promotes a “race war” in any way. We must not compromise the integrity of a movement that deserves respect. We must figure out how to use our anger as fuel and identify actionable ways to bring about peace in a world where chaos seems to dominate. We must stand together in solidarity, even (and especially) as we mourn, to help spread unity and bring about peace." More at link.....

opppsss I just heard about his house. Must realign my thinking - what happened this week was the final trigger - there is no reason why anyone has all that stuff in their home, if they are not planning some thing violent . I think this week tipped the scale ....................

just like gay days was the end of the road for OM mooo

We all know there are five funerals coming.

We all know it is going to be 325 police cars, with lights on.

We all know there are going to be 978 cops at the funeral.

We all know the area is stressed.

Lets just hope nothing serious happens during any of these of funerals, when they need cops and cars that are at five funerals this week.

The only thing I can conclude that there are going to have to be vast areas of the area, that are not covered during this --cops and cars are at funerals

Very dangeroues IMO

Idk how the schedule of the police officers in other states but when I worked in the Police Dept in Nassau County, NY (911 operator) they worked 3 12 hour shifts meaning 3 days on and 4 days off. The 10 hour officers worked 4 days in a row. So alot of officers will be on their day off. Hth

What???? How about none of it would happen unless some maniac decided to arm himself with an assault rifle and hunt the police!

How are so many people here acting like this was called for? How about the victims are VICTIMS and don't have any role in this other than being a victim.

What the actual eff.

Amen.

Sadly this happened today in Georgia:

VALDOSTA, Ga. (AP) - A man who called 911 to report a car break-in Friday ambushed a south Georgia police officer dispatched to the scene, sparking a shootout in which both the officer and suspect were wounded, authorities said. Both are expected to survive.

I dunno. I think he's been planning something and the 2 shootings gave him the nudge he needed. I guess we will find out soon though.

Below is quoted from https://www.yahoo.com/news/three-officer-fatally-shot-during-000000452.html

How Johnson went about the rampage reveals a lot about him, said former FBI profiler Mary Ellen O’Toole.

“This hunting behavior is a very unique violence called instrumental violence, and it is the preferred violence of individuals who manifest traits of psychopathy,”

O’Toole told Yahoo News. “It is extremely difficult to negotiate with a psychopath and Dallas police realized that, and realized this shooter was on a mission and was going to continue to kill no matter what they said to him.”
