MISTRIAL TX - Nine dead, 20 injured in shootout at Waco bikers' meeting, 17 May 2015

What bothers me the most is that the gangs chose to start a fight knowing there were innocent people and children in that restaurant ! Idiots, all of them.

Hopefully no kids saw anybody being killed. That can cause lasting trauma. :(
:moo:

It's a miracle that nobody outside/inside around the shopping center were seriously injured or killed.

Keep safe up there DD!!

I don't know how to post pics to the threads however, I live in the Austin area....I was pulling into one of our local Walmarts today.....there is a Twin Peaks there as well. Big as day, their sign had BIKE NIGHT up in literally red neon lights. Talk about tasteless and tacky.

The one down here has been opened for about 3ish years or so, I pray we don't have a repeat of Waco down here.

And as it was posted elsewhere T H U G S........knows no skin color.

Oh wow. Yeah, if I were a restaurant, I'd want to rethink my "Biker Nights" for the immediate future, ya know?!
I know that TABC is currently investigating the Twin Peaks in Killeen (near Ft Hood), as it is run by the same franchisee.

Mr Jay Patel is a name that isn't thought of highly right now in this area.

I will say all day today, I kept going back to that...no LE and no innocents were seriously injured or killed. Stray bullets from bikers, not from SWAT :) into the Don Carlos parking lot, or even onto the hwy that's right there. Really amazing, in my opinion. Thankful, so very thankful, but still a little amazed, really.

All of these biker gangs must have a requirement that no one can join if they are attractive.:D

Good grief that is some hideous looking people and I had to do a double take on the woman's photo.

Hysterical! I have to say, I had the same thought when I first started seeing the mug shots- it was like good lord what a motley group - whew!

Just HHH- HOrribly homley homeosapians!!!

Sorry - its is funny!

Does everyone remember when biker gangs nearly managed to convince media and the general public that they were really just clubs like any other, just focussed on bikes, were more interested in doing toy runs and saving drug addicts and other lost souls than trafficking drugs and were unfairly maligned in nearly every way. I guess those days are well behind us now.

Re:

Woman, what woman?

I just clicked through them and I never saw no woman. At least not one that I would recognise as a woman ...
Blonde, name Sandra L, husband Michael L (brother? same surname) is posted right before or after her (near the end of the photos).

Even a Walmart in town completely closed late afternoon, as did several restaurants near the interstate...and even a small shop owned by someone I know. They had alerts all over social media yesterday, with local LE asking people to just go home. I've never seen such a response city-wide. And yes, by reading social media, it appeared many were taking that advice.

There is such obserdity to this - its like the wild west. But their are going to be very real and dangerous problems. Think about it, they are locking up rival gang members in close quarters, for what ( I assume a million dollor bond might indicate some legnthy stays!).

This criminal cogntive pattern, endorses revenge. SO now, they have 170 folks, who hate eacho thers guts, apparently are fond of brass knuckles and stashing chains to assualt other humans (as oppossed to helping a stuck person ha!) --

Housing transporting back and forth to court or whatever - this is actually a very dangerous sitution - my idea of a gang is 3 or more people on the dance floor - but I think they had better think long and hard about housing them in different places - obviously, lets just go with intial reports that 4 of the 5 were killed by LE you still have 4 -5 members maybe from different ones that are now super pissed off at each other

Just saying they better start giving some serious thought to how they plan on moving forward......not a good scene, in reality. And yes, there is ins some fashion a humerous obserdity to it all , but at the end of the day, corrections folks are in for quite a ride IMO.................

Amazing no video has surfaced!

I just thought (due to the lack of cell phone video) that maybe chains, brass knuckles, guns , meth, coke, knives and god knows what else, there are not enough pockets in their attire for cell phones!!!

Yup, they're taking care of business. Proud of my Texas LE.

Well, here I am working in Waco today (I live in a rural town just outside of Waco, and work in Waco).
Crazy.

I'm glad the nation is getting to see Sgt. Swanton. He's a great asset for Waco PD.

I think Twin Peaks is going to have a short future here in Waco, whether because their franchise agreement is going to be pulled, or because of the backlash from the local community.

Please pray for our LE today and in the near future, for they are getting numerous threats from these t h u g s (see, I use that word as a descriptor for low life/criminal actions, not a race!)...

192 being processed in our facilities...good job Central Texas.

(P.S. I feel for the "good" biker groups that do a lot of good work...even they were alerted to get off their bikes yesterday because there were threats against anyone riding yesterday, from the criminal gangs.)

The section of the outdoor mall closest to I-35 and Hwy 6 is still going to be closed today, for crime scene investigation and security. That hurts other innocent businesses and employees. Sad that a bunch of t h u g s can affect so many others.

DD thank you for what you do. Prayers for you and your fellow officers.

CNN is reporting the reason for the brawl is one group but a "Texas" patch on the bottom of their vests. The Bandido's own that label and I guess they weren't very happy. $1 million dollar bail set for each arrested.

Wow, isn't that just ridiculous! Like really .. can't stand all the 'respect' BS gangs etc seem determined to engage in, like could they take themselves any more seriously? Bikie gangs remind me of little boys in a clubhouse writing up a list of rules for themselves and having initiation rituals etc .. oh and of course some kind of signal to wear to show they were all in the same gang.

I agree, whether it's criminal biker gangs or criminal street gangs or any other kind of criminal gang. Criminal gangs are so bad they would even attack a janitor for making the mistake of wearing a blue shirt.

I do admit to having a soft spot for non-criminal bikers & bike clubs. I know quite a few bikers, and they're all honorable, upstanding men. Very different from the criminal biker gangs.

It ain't about respect. Those guys don't respect 🤬🤬🤬🤬. It's about drugs and drug routes IMO.
