You know.....the words "two-year old" and "dead in a plastic storage bin" should never, ever, EVER have to be in an article :(. Two-year olds should only be found snuggled up with their favorite blanket, safe in bed.

God, I'm so damned sick over this.

And another thing.....the composite sketch of her shows a cute, matching outfit. I can't MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE IN MY MIND! How can someone dress their beautiful little girl in a sweet outfit, then kill them? Or allow them to be killed?! Then throw her body away????

I agree Lisa-what is the mentality that takes a 2 year old from a loving stable environment and then she ends up beaten to death in a strange state? Why not leave her? If mom had to take up with a stranger she met on the internet, why uproot Riley as well? There are no satisfactory answers, and I can only imagine the shock and horror that Riley's father and Riley's grandmother are going through. Back at the very beginning of the case, the detectives said that what would break this case was a tip from someone who hadn't seen a loved one in a while, like a grandmother...I remember it so clearly and now it is like he was psychic.

I agree.

How many options did they have to "get rid" of this little girl other than killing her? What really worries me is what she possibly went thru prior to being killed.

What losers.

Words can't express how I feel about Riley AKA Baby Grace.
I am shocked, stunned, sad, and speechless.

She was such a beautiful child...probably a sweetheart, too, who just wanted to be loved in return for all the love she gave. :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

Oh, Riley.....I wish you had been my little girl. My heart breaks for her. I think one of the things that is bothering me the most, is the fact that the mother could have just up and left without Riley. Royce Ziegler had to know in advance that the deal he was signing up for included a child. Was this exactly what he was shopping for? I wish I had his email address - or hers. So sad, yet not at all surprising.

This is heartbreaking, but at least "Baby Grace" will have a name and a decent resting place, unlike the one her mother and stepfather planned for her, apparently.

Everything matched so much for the child to be Riley, from the age/size/physical description, even to the location of the mother. Even down to the grandmother's making the call, just like Precious Doe a few years ago...

Poor little Riley, she deserved better than this, and she must have missed her grandmother so much...

Royse Zeigler either isn't a project manager for Shell or he isn't 26. Period.

The grandmother whom this horrible excuse of a mother lived with and mooched off of until she didn't need her anymore probably bought the little girl the cute outfit.

RIP, baby Riley. At least the world now knows your name.

I think Englishleigh's pedophile scenario sounds very, very plausible. Or on the other hand, maybe Riley's mom didn't tell Royce that she had a child, and Royce demanded that she get rid of her. It's happened before. I just am unable to fathom a mother who would put a man before her child.

I hope they get some answers

Hope I don't sound like a weirdo, but I hope Riley will be brought back to Mentor to be buried... Tragically she isn't alive anymore, but I still feel she should be given back to her father, not be buried somewhere she didn't know anyone or anything.... Does anyone know how that sort of thing works?

Nothing at all weird about that; I feel the very same way. I am sure, under the circumstances, that she will be returned to her father. This one is so very sad!

Exactly. Who can imagine what that grandmother is feeling right now?

Have I missed a positive identification? According to the articles, the mother and boyfriend(?) were arrested in the disappearance of Riley... the authorities are still waiting for the DNA results... Riley isn't the only one they tested. While I hope and pray for Riley, I haven't seen that it's positively her...
<snip>
Last week, authorities said the families of eight missing children from across the United States were being asked to provide DNA samples. Tuttoilmondo said they were selected from 110 cases of missing children who matched a description of the girl being called "Baby Grace." The child was described as being 2 or 3.
