dammed if you do and dammed if you don't...I do want to take some of you to task though..this isn't old home week for you to chat up your friends..we need to have a give and take discussion..so if you don't mind..I hope you will agree to do that...;)
I think it was a stalker. someone she met online or in a bar or club...and not an ex.....:behindbar

Chill out darlin. Sometimes we stray a bit off topic, but we always manage to find our way back. But, I do agree with you. Seems like someone who couldn't have her, not someone who already did.

some of you only seem to want to discuss cases with your pals and not with everybody here..and that is sad. I have no disrespect for any of you..but it seems disrespectful to others of us who want to discuss cases...I won't be losing any sleep over it....you guys do what you want....

A search of her computer and phone records..including cell phone records if the police can get hold of those..may yield some results..:banghead:

What do you mean? I haven't seen anyone get nasty. Do you feel like your posts are being ignored? If that's the case don't worry. It's not intentional. I feel like that sometimes too. If people don't reply don't take it personally. If I'm way off base sorry.

They talked about this case exclusively on Nancy Grace's show last night and they did say that all of that was being checked out. They also said that the guy either slid his hand down the knife and cut himself or somehow she cut him, because a pretty good amount of his blood was found at the scene too, exclusive of her's. So, it looks like he bled on the way out the door. I think they said that her car keys were in a drawer, but that her purse and cell phone, etc. were still locked in her car and undisturbed. So, the only things stolen were her watch and her ring, which in Texas, qualifies this as a capital crime and the death penalty could be sought. What else do you want to talk about? I'm here all afternoon. :blowkiss:

i have no idea what you're talking about, but i agree with your last line....until there's something that really makes me suspect Mr Tate, i'm still going with the killer being someone she met online/bar/club, also.....

Hi Scandi,

Nancy Grace covered this last night. Apparently many of the stab wounds were postmortem. Also, it appears that the perp was in no hurry and spent quite a bit of time there.

Link to transcript:

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0607/25/ng.01.html

It is a lot to read, but there are lots of details.

oh thanks for the transcript Deb!.....lots of info..

CAPT. RANDY ROLAND, PIO, MCKINNEY POLICE DEPARTMENT: Our investigators have pretty much worked her morning schedule. And we talked to witnesses that, you know, last spoke to her at the model home or on the phone, and we think the window of opportunity for this crime is somewhere between 12:50 PM and 1:23, when the couple that wandered into the model home found her on the floor and called 911. So we`ve got a closing window of opportunity.

wow, small window of opportunity....if this couple just "wandered" in, that sounds like they didn't have an appointment....the killer was sure 'brave' about doing this in broad daylight, not knowing if anyone could wander in...this is someone that was angry & must have immediately started in on her when they got inside....they went there, or followed her there, to kill her specifically, imo.....

also lots of good tips for folks that show houses, in the transcripts....

I just know you are a member of the Angrywolf fan club....smile...
As far as the case goes..that is a very small window of opprotunity.....It just doesn't seem like a random act of violence. It sounds like a malice killing.Someone who really hated her...with so many wounds post mordem.
Could it have been a woman ? Most of us would think it's a guy, a jilted or frustrated lover..but it could have been woman.A very jealous one. Do we know what were grounds of divorce stated in her previous divorce petitions ?:banghead:

I don't know what to think of a killer who would be so brazen. It had to be someone totally enraged and who felt it was worth the risk of being seen.

I hope that her phone records may tip off the police as to the perp. There was a vicious murder in NYC not too long ago, which also was a small window of opportunity. In fact, the ex-boyfriend who was still living with the girl (a dancer) left the apartment to get the car to drive the girl to work. In the short time that he was gone, someone somehow got in through a locked security door, made his way to her apartment, got in and viciously stabbed her to death (almost decapitating her in the process). An ex-lover/boyfriend who was obsessed with her is charged with her murder.

This will probably turn out to be the case here. It will probably be someone who felt used and led on and then discarded.

Oh yeah, Catherine something. Can't recall her last name right now. Her dad is the coach for the Ohio State Marching Band.

I am a fan! A big fan!! I agree that there really wasn't a lot of time for this to happen. I think someone who couldn't have her, didn't want anyone else to - one of those cases, maybe? Could have been following her around. I never thought of a woman, but very well could be!!

Maybe a woman whose significant other just gave a really expensive gift to another woman? Ring, rolex, either/or or both?

I have been thinking about the possibility that, even if the model home did not have a fully equipped kitchen, they might have keep a small paring knife there to use for food the D. R. Horton employees brought in for lunch or snacks. Most offices have a few utensils for personal use.

Maybe the killer backed her into the kitchen area, she remembered the knife, pulled it out for self-defense, he or she overpowered her, used it to kill her and took it with them.

I also thought about the possibility that she took the jewelry off before she went to work. As a realtor myself, my sister is always cautioning me not to wear a large diamond I have when showing property. Of course, that would raise the question, what did she do with it?

Just thinking...........

The police officer they interviewed said there was no kitchen equipment at all, so one of them brought it with them. I agree with you about the watch and ring, but wouldn't they have found it at her place or in her car?

Maybe they did find it and are just saying they are looking for it to give the murderer a false sense of security hoping to trip him up. They are keeping so quiet on this case....scarcely nothing in the newspapers here about it.

i was thinking the same thing. i do not watch nancy grace or greta but i do believe the rest of the nation knows more about this case due to the national media than those of us (like me) living in the metroplex and depending on the local newspaper and radio reports.

Hey -- I hope it's ok if I jump in here. This is my first post to this thread and I haven't read the whole thread.

But I was thinking -- this very well could be a totally random murder by some crazy and evil individual. I think the fact that she was killed at work in daylight when anyone could have come in points away from long-term beforehand premeditation and instead suggests a crime of opportunity -- someone who wanted the watch to pawn it for drugs or something.

Unfortunately, we are seeing more and more of these heinous and nearly random crimes lately. Often the perp is on drugs or addicted to drugs (meth.) Pamela Vitale comes to mind. As well as the family of four that was murdered in their home and the home set on fire -- the Harveys (I think that was the family name.) Jessica Lunsford too. I think meth played a part in all of those cases (not sure if it did in the Harvey case.)

I understand that. I live in metro Atlanta and some crimes are reported and never heard about again until trial. I wonder why that is.
