Found Deceased TX - Sarbesh Gurung, 2, Denton, 2 July, 2019

  • #21
My niece lives in Denton. Her husband teaches/coaches at the University. She said people are out all over the place and news & police helicopters above. This is so sad.

UPDATE 6:40 PM: Sarbesh has not been located at this time. We are no longer requesting volunteers. If you have any additional information, please call our dedicated tip line at 940-349-7960.

A lot of people in the community are still out looking for this sweet boy.

Where could Sarbesh be? It seems like he was reported missing pretty quickly, weird that he has not been located yet.

  • #24
Having not found him and them asking for no further searching gives me some bad vibes. Also how can they not Amber alert this? Makes me so upset.

  • #25
Mom reported that she put him down for a nap, went to check on him later and he was gone.

I sure hope he is found safely!
Oh how I hate this!

My understanding is that PD is still searching, but do not need more volunteers in their grid search tonight. Community members are still searching other surrounding areas. Also seeing reports of search dogs out in the area.

Dixon said the boy's mother told police she turned around for a matter of minutes, and when she looked again, Sarbresh was gone.

In this first article posted, mother turned around for a matter of minutes and he was gone, now reports are that she put him down for a nap and when she checked on him, he was gone.
Just wanted to point this out. May mean absolutely nothing, but who knows at this point.

Anyone from the area know if there’s any bodies of water near his last known location? I hate to even think that way, but happens on occasion.

Not entirely. They are from sri lanka so long sleeves to keep him warm could be normal. I have friends from Africa. When they visit the US in the summer they are always cold.

Understandable. I just worry about him out in this heat.

His eye is swollen in this picture or it looks like it is to me. I know accidents happen esp with how adventurous & curious little boys can be....just something that stood out to me.

No, thankfully not.

Denton PD searching for missing 2-year-old boy
[...]

Sarbesh's parents are being interviewed at the police department by investigators.

As of 6:40 p.m., police are no longer asking for volunteers but say Sarbesh still hasn't been found. Crews are mainly focused on searching within a five-block radius of where he was last seen.

Police say no Amber Alert has been issued since it doesn't appear that Sarbesh was abducted, but they say nothing is off the table.

How does a 2-year-old child go missing in that area and not seen by someone? How is this possible? Walking alone and NO ONE sees this child??
