Was this vehicle not present when they searched yesterday? How did they not search every vehicle in the vicinity?

He was found dead in a vehicle :(

Poor baby! I wish people would lock their vehicles but I even fight my own family to keep theirs locked because of this reason.

LE very emotional. :( They are saying they don't have answers for most questions right now. The vehicle was in pretty close proximity. The owners of the vehicle found him.

He said the windows were very dark and the vehicle had a shade. Pitch black and unable to see in from the outside. The family found him when they got in the vehicle.

Missing 2-Year-Old Denton Boy Found Dead Inside Vehicle
[...]

It was around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday when officers found little Sarbesh Gurung in the back of a car at the apartment complex where he lived with his family.

[...]

Police were in the area Tuesday morning, searching dumpsters, manholes, and going door-to-door when the child was found. Investigators have not confirmed, but it’s believed Sarbesh was found in the car of someone other than his parents.

No persons of interest. No indication of homicide, but they have little information. They will continue to investigate. The ME will need to do their investigation. They just don't have enough information right now. It's not a time to point fingers or assign blame. More work to do. They said any child death will have an investigation.

  • #118
They did say if the ME has any finds today, they will release it.

Ugh, so they said "well we can't say that every vehicle was checked"

Sorry but that should have been priority #1 to check each and every vehicle with as hot as it gets in cars in the summer. I don't understand how they didn't go through the parking lot with a window marker and check off each and every vehicle.

Denton PD chief says different family found the boy around 6 am when they went to the car to go somewhere. Car was nearby but had tinted windows and sun shade. “No one’s going to be harder on themselves than the ones who were out there.” He says up to 300 were looking.

My mind always, always has a hard time not going "there." You guys understand, I'm sure. This one just feels like a horrific accidental situation to me. I cannot even fathom this nightmare.
