TX - Shots fired, injuries reported at ICE facility in Dallas - Sept 24, 2025

There seems to be a strong "copy cat" pattern at play. The murderer of the United Healthcare CEO left messages on the casings. Subsequently, we have had two murders in the last 10 days, where messages were left on casings. The two most recent shootings occurred with the shooters on a rooftop (as was the first Trump assassination attempt).

I suspect this guy, like several recent murderers who have made national news had a strong online presence, and few "real world" friends.

In the 50's and 60's, advertisers realized that "sex sells".
It seems now that politicians have realized that fear and hate win elections. The level of hate online in many places is extremely worrisome.

"Disturbing note

found inside suspected shooter's car.

A horrifying poster appears to be taped to the side of the vehicle that investigators believe belonged to Dallas ICE shooting suspect Joshua Jahn.

Investigators have focused on a car parked outside a building next to the Dallas ICE facility.

The vehicle is believed to belong to Jahn.

A sign with what appears to be black splatter on the car reads:

'Radioactive fallout from nuclear detonations that've passed over these areas more than 2x since 1951'."

If this is a valid evidence photo, it looks like something a paranoid schizophrenic would have. Is the alleged shooter in the late teens to mid 20s age range?

Tragic for all.

thank you this info is helpful

The sniper, who police sources described as a white man, shot himself dead as law enforcement agents closed in on him, Fox4 reported. He is believed to have been perched on the roof of a nearby immigration attorney's office, WFAA reported.

The identities of the sniper and victims have not been released and Noem said investigators were still probing a possible motive.
Multiple fatalities after 'SNIPER' opens fire at Dallas ICE facility

So, why target brown people already detained and in custody if this was motivated by a strong anti immigrant belief or anger about the undocumented in this country? Seems like if that was motive then someone who had such views would target folks NOT already in custody and face much less possible interference from authorities than to take it to an ICE facility?

Very bizarre, awaiting more info hoping that will make it make more sense.
Agree. So far, what’s being reported doesn’t make any sense at all. If someone is allegedly “anti ice” why would they target the victims of ICE?

It's Daily Mail. But I will tell you I was watching live and there was a drone circling this car. I saw this rear/passenger side item and officers looking at it. There was also a similar looking item in the driver side (looked like it was inside the vehicle. JMOO
The shooter was 29

So, it’s possible. LE hopefully checking his medical history.

I haven't heard anything about a scope. My suspicion is that he wanted to shoot up ICE and wasn't aiming that well.

That doesn't look "engraved."

It looks like someone hurriedly scrawled something on a single casing with a blue ballpoint pen.
I was thinking a permanent Sharpie marker ?

Has anyone seen the address of the building the shooter fired from?

Unfortunately I've already seen it quite by accident. I would STRONGLY caution anyone, before viewing this horribly graphic image.
By accident ?
They showed the pic/footage in msm ?

Literally all I could think of was what a waste of a young life and also the (prob. undeserved) scrutiny he's brought on his family.
There's a possibility of mental illness issues with J. Jahn as well ?
Imo.

I saw it on X. It was something I accidentally clicked, so it wasn't shoved in my face, at least. I can't stand graphic photos.

I’m waiting to see how far from the ICE facility the shooter actually was. As I’ve mentioned upthread, I know nothing about guns. However, I was extremely shocked that the gunman in the Charlie Kirk shooting was able to hit anywhere within 5’ of where he did from the distance he was, but a lot of people on here and on the internet said that shot wasn’t hard at all. If that shot wasn’t hard, why was this one so hard to where, despite aiming at ICE officers, he struck none and instead, struck 3 immigrants they were taking in?

ETA: I want to be clear that I’m not trying to be argumentative, it’s just that it doesn’t quite make sense to my (uninformed about guns & shooting) brain.

Same. Scrolling through "latest" tweets under his name and there it was. Considering it was only LE on the roof after the fact, it begs the question how that made it on to twitter so fast?

1120 Empire Central Place imo

ETA You can see that building in the link below. Also there’s a picture of the suspect’s car parked next to the fire escape. imo

there are several people on social media with the name Joshua Jahn, some of whom are taking insane heat from internet trolls and posting in response - not THAT Josh Jahn.

I feel bad for his family, I hope they all shut down their social media immediately.

"Law enforcement said
that the sniper perched on a roof adjacent to the facility
and rained bullets on the migrants as they were being transported in an unmarked ICE van.

After Jahn was identified as the alleged shooter,
his brother Noah told NBC News that he did not believe his brother was especially interested in politics
and had not voiced his opinions on immigration before.

Noah said his brother was unemployed
but had previously worked as a coder,
and was planning on moving in with their parents in Oklahoma.

Investigators said
Jahn fired 'indiscriminately' at the ICE office,
peppering the transport van with bullets
and also hitting windows in the building numerous times.

Jahn also shot an American flag inside the ICE building as he fired shots 'indiscriminately'.

As investigators descended on the scene in Dallas, images showed poster taped to the side of a vehicle believed to belong to Jahn."

Early reporting was that the shots were fired from a nearby rooftop into an unmarked transport van. Like the Vegas mass shooting, it doesn't take a marksman to hit sheep in a pen. I saw a video of the rooftop and it looked considerably closer than the ones in Butler and Washington, to me.

Thankfully I did not see the shooter’s dead body here at all, but there is information about the note he affixed to his car.

IMO there is evidence of paranoia in that note.
