So if he seen Jonathan before he was killed and his mom was at work, then why would he tell Jonathan his mom was on her way home? She wasn't on her way home until she received threatening phone calls? Never harmed the boy is a lie under oath! He had slapped him! That's why they moved out! I wouldn't trust anything he says, he was angry she brought her son to live with them but yet was excited to have another chance to be a father at the age of 55. He lived with him for 3 weeks before he put his hands on that child and he wants to be a father. Please!

I think it was an error for him to testify to something different than what was presumably the truth. He could be a complete rat for all I know but he was cleared of taking Jonathan to Mona's apartment and killing him. He isnt reasonable doubt, at least imo. The defense has many many steps to take before they can put stepdad in Mona's apartment killing his stepson.

Guess he must have been wearing Mona's clothes as well.

I see almost no UPDATES on the actual trial. I see almost no actual current information.
I do not want to know every time Mona looks at someone, or every time anyone breathes funny in court.

The 11am News started with coverage of the Mona Nelson trial.

The reporter said Jonathan Fisher vs Jonathan Foster. Said more than once. Shame on him for not getting the name correct. Hopefully, they will correct before posting the video report.

David Davis, Jonathan Foster's stepfather, is back on the stand and being cross-examined by the Defense (A. Tanner).

As expected, Tanner is attempting to "point the finger at Davis."

It is noted that David Davis is not on trial; Mona Nelson is on trial!

Per the reporter, David Davis had access to torches where he worked and knew how to use.

David Davis denied slapping Jonathan Foster.

The bartender from the "ice house" testified also and indicated David Davis was there.

On Friday morning, he testified he was upset that Angela Davis had an affair, that he sent threatening text messages to the man she had been involved with, and admitted trying to scare him.

I guess that's his excuse for her leaving with Jonathan. Not sure if I buy it.

Nelson was a welder, but during cross examination today, her attorney pointed out that David Davis had access to a cutting torch and a propane torch at his workplace. Davis admitted he knew how to use the torch, and had been burned often.

The plot thickens.
Left threatening messages to the other man? A motive is starting to appear: resented Jonathan, angry at mother for alleged affair, jealous.
How well does he know Mona?
Both angry and jealous with a bone to pick with the mom?
Access and knowledge of blow-torches.
If he killed Jonathan or was an accomplice to the crime with Mona, he needs to go down too.
Did the step-dad have a drug problem? I recall he used meth.
ugly, all of this just ugly.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man who was once a suspect himself is on the witness stand in the murder trial of a woman, charged in the death of a young boy.

Wow! KHOU staff botched this one . . . even Art Rascon, the noon Anchor, got it wrong. Prior to switching to Simon Gutierrez, he said, "jurors";

There are no jurors . . . this is a "bench" trial.
