Found Deceased TX - Thomas Brown, 18, Hemphill County, 23 Nov 2016 #4

From Kleins FB page:

For Public Release:
We have been asked by the public for an update on the Thomas Brown case in Canadian, Texas.
As we have advised the public in the past we are STILL waiting on Tom's father, Kelly Brown, to sign a RULE 11 agreement to have Tom's remains examined. Currently, Tom is in a vault in Amarillo Texas after Kelly Brown had to be sued for a separate forensics examination that his mother, Penny Meek requested. As such, before the parties went to court Kelly Brown and his council agreed to Penny Meek that the remains could be examined by the independent team of forensics examiners.
Kelly Brown is focused on keeping no members of the KIC Texas team in the examination room. We have also agreed not to be in the room during the examination. Further, he does not want any of the photos or videos taken by the forensic doctor (s) released to the public—which nobody has even suggested would or could happen.
According to Meek's lawyers, the rule 11 signatures were due today. However, once again, Kelly Brown has not signed the document, and he has given no indication of whether he will ever sign it.
We again make a public call for Kelly Brown to stop playing games and sign the document (s) so that Mrs. Meek, Tucker (Tom's Brother), and other family members can lay their son's remains to rest.
This is senseless drama and the delay of the Forensics team who is on standby and can do the examination in two days. Kelly Brown - DO THE RIGHT THING. For Tom, his family, and the public.

Klein also made this comment 6 months ago on a FB post when he was publicly pressuring KB to sign off on the release of the remains: "There are no other answers that can come from the Remains. FBI, USDOJ, OAG and other agencies have done their work. If we felt there was something that should be done and to hold the remains - then we would be screaming from the top of the hills. It is personal." Now that KB signed off on the release of the remains, the pressure is for the additional examination. Seems that was the intent all along.

Note From Philip Klein:
I would like to thank you as a group for sending us emails and PMs regarding my appearance this past evening on Discovery ID. It was wonderful working with the crew from LA, and as always, they were professional and did a great job telling the story.
Second, this morning, I spent about an hour reading the comments on the post below about Tom Brown's case. We will have much more to say (non-investigative) about some of the misinformation from the usual people, but now we are going to call them out on our page. No more misinformation. Opinions - great. Misinformation - no. And we might even comment on your opinions.
If you feel that our opinions are strong - we are sorry for that. Please unfollow us. Yes, that is harsh, but we are dealing with real lives here. So, make it right, keep the faith - and thank you for following this page.

Update re: todays court hearing-

Public Statement re: Thomas Brown
We would like to congratulate Penny Meek and family for their positive outcome in court this morning. The court ruled that there would be a guardian ad litem attorney appointed to make decisions regarding the Thomas Brown estate, not his father, Kelly Brown.
This morning there was a suggestion of perjury on behalf of Kelly Brown that will be both investigated and if possible, prosecuted.

Thanks for the update. What a tragedy that this case would come down to his father being prosecuted for perjury versus confirming what actually happened to Thomas Brown in Nov 2016.

Looks like the Meek family dismissed Kelly Brown, with prejudice, from the suit against Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home on 3/7. Interesting there has not been any mention on FB.
