The BBC understands that at least six people from Vietnam are feared by their families to be among the dead in Essex. The families are concerned that they haven't been heard from since Tuesday evening when the container was being transported from Zebrugge- Purfleet. More @BBCNews

Nguyen Dinh Luong, 20-years-old, is feared to be among the lorry dead. His brother has told the BBC that Dinh Luong left Vietnam a year ago & had been in France. Here he is outside Paris' Sacre Coeur. Last news his brother received were urgent messages from two phones.

Nguyen Dinh Luong has a distinctive tattoo on his arm. The BBC is providing all information received from the family to the police to assist their investigation.

So
I wasn't sleuthing, I know this as a fact, someone looked on the business register and thought it strange that TM owns a transport company and a Salon. Rather than hysteria build up as to why, I answered it. Saves you lot delving into it and making assumptions.

My daughter has her hair done there too by the way.

Also, I'm a director of a Leasing company and I also am a director of a flower shop and a design agency - just to show there's nothing odd about being a director of multiple businesses.

Interesting - why does a hairdresser have a lorry registered to her in Bulgaria (after selling it a year previously allegedly) and yet not be the registered director of her own hairdressing business. Just curious prob a moot point and irrelevant. I didn’t actually sleuth it either, it was on Twitter :)

Ahh l see you have a personal connection with them and don't think they could have done anything wrong. Fair enough. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Update: Now at least six. Clarification on the payments. Families pay a deposit to smugglers to get their relative on the move. Some of the families the BBC is in contact with have received that money back since the deaths were discovered.

Lots of media here at Grays police station as we wait for an update from Essex Police on their murder investigation after 39 bodies were found in a lorry container on an industrial unit nearby on Wednesday morning. Two more people were arrested today in connection with it.

NEW from Vietnamese Embassy in London on lorry deaths in Essex - say requests from “some Vietnamese families” to help identify if their family members were among victims but “the embassy has not yet received any official confirmation from the relevant agencies”:

I could be wrong but I think the police are clutching at straws. Still no information on who rented the container.

“GPS data shows the refrigerated container trailer crossed back and forth between the UK and Europe in the days before it was found.

It was leased from the company Global Trailer Rentals on 15 October. The company said it was "entirely unaware that the trailer was to be used in the manner in which it appears to have been".”

Is it possible to send a text message from inside a sealed shipping container .... 2 hrs off the coast?

Hopefully, someone here will put it into the timeline as to when the text was received. It was not necessarily when the text was sent perhaps.

As many have thought oh, and I have no idea, was the text received at the same time it was sent. I am sure that all the phones that were in the refrigeration unit have been collected and I'm sure they have more information.

The Embassy team is working closely with #Essex police. The Chinese Government attaches great importance to this horrendous tragedy. The relevant departments are mobilized and ready to cooperate with the British police with necessary assistance.

from the photos in the news looks like they did some pretty thorough searches at those homes. Will take some time to go through everything.

To be clear the question was a technical one ... will a mobile phone work .. inside a metal box ? Does the ferry have phone relay capability?

Some ferries do have a mobile phone signal booster installed. Some don't. I can try and track down the vessel that carried the container into Tilbury and find out.

She was in the container when it was sent, assuming looking at the time received, it does look like the message got sent whilst the container was sealed.

As I mentioned above, you can be 2 hours from the port and still send a text because in that area, you're still relatively close to land anyway. 2 hours from Tilbury port on the Thames estuary isn't actually a great distance out to sea, the ships actually creep into Tilbury very slowly, maybe 3-4 knots, looking at that, when she sent the message, she would have been within landsight from the ship.

Well that kind of confirms to the families where their loved one was.
