Yet you'd think if he were in a months-long 'fwb' arrangement with TM where she'd apparently complain about her partner, you'd think she would have mentioned Alesha's name at least once. I urge him to keep talking at this rate because he's saying a lot that could be contradicted.

Alesha MacPhail murder trial continues in Glasgow today. The 16 year-old male accused of Alesha’s abduction, rape, and murder is now giving evidence. He says he lied to police when first questioned about why he’d left home the night Alesha went missing. @itvnews

I just think it’s plausable, they are they same age are known to each other hung around together so it’s not unheard of . I don’t think it was going on at the time I think it May or may not have happened months before It’s not even relevant to what’s happened. I’m not saying I believe him .. just pondering

Accused says he lied to police about meeting a different friend for cannabis that night because he presumed his mum could hear him. He didn’t want the story getting back to Robert MacPhail, who he says Toni told him was an abusive partner. “I didn’t want her getting hurt.

This is where I feel the need to point out again this happens by nature of the fact we're responding in real time to this stuff coming out. In much the same way I'm sure the jurors are thinking many things similar to us, even if they won't express them until deliberation or until more evidence is presented.

The teenager said he posted a video to friends after news emerged that Alesha was missing.

He said the video showed his reflection in a bathroom mirror.

Beneath it was the caption: “Found who done it”

He said it was a bad joke because of the speculation about what had happened to the girl.

He denied the video was him telling his friends that he was responsible.

I'm still convinced there is more to this case than we've been led to believe.

I fully believe there is more to this case but the defence has yet to convince me of his innocence as there has been no evidence given, just this boys words. The prosecution on the other hand have given plenty of evidence both physical and circumstantial. This evidence put together have led me to believe he is guilty at this point. If the defence can bring out actual evidence that isn’t the words of a 16 year old boy who is trying to explain away every little piece of evidence with stories that I do not believe and some that contradict one another then I will be open to believing he is innocent.
