In my job (education) I’ve worked with boys who are similar to him from those YouTube videos at first glance. Outdoorsy, enjoy adrenaline sports, self-assured, a bit cocky, sometimes goofy and silly. It’s sad and shocking to think the boy in those videos could go on to murder a child. Perhaps that’s why this case has grabbed us, we find it so difficult to understand.

If only someone close to him had realised something was wrong and reported his odd behaviour (talking about murdering for the life experience, hurting animals etc.) Or seen him that night when he was carrying Alesha. Maybe that could have prevented it.

I know, I realised when I read it back. I wrote it quickly on my phone, meaning to say he was seen on CCTV, not seen at the time. Sorry again.

Sorry to carry on with the thread. It is probably time we let Alesha rest in peace. This article is worth a read. There has been some poor journalism over the past months in this case, but imo The Times have done a few really well written and informative articles.

This article reads like a made up, carefully worded piece, written to sound as though it's come directly from Janettes mouth but, is it?

Though if it were true, of course she'd be scared! Why would she welcome being attacked?

Janette has never expressed that she's not disgusted at what her son has done.

How would you like her to express it?
