No he was described as driving erratically through the estate where April lived before the abduction.

"Witnesses have described seeing Mr Bridger driving “erratically” through the estate where April lived an hour before she was abducted."

That's what I was saying too. hmmm It was before and the mechanical problems that were reported in one article happened the next day per the witness.

Only if he had chosen to tell someone.

Since they didn't, we must assume that his address was not known at that time.

I wonder why he would not have told anyone where he moved? I mean, he has children living in the town, and judging by the fact that he attended the parents night, he was clearly involved in their lives, so I find it hard that he would not e.g. have told their mother (his ex) that he moved and where he was now living.

Correct me if I'm wrong but he was reported driving around erratically in the vicinity not long before the abduction. His car was noisy and had apparent problems with the gears.

Also, the car that was seen by the 70 y/o man driving away "briskly" at the time of the abduction did not seem to have any of these mechanical problems.

He may not have had mechanical problems on Monday night. He may have been "driving erratically" for other reasons. The report that his car was noisy and that he was "crashing the gears" was from someone seeing him on Tuesday morning, not Monday night.

If it was just an hour before, there wasn't any time to change cars. So my question stands: why did the car "behave" later on, or why did nobody see him having problems after the abduction?

Driving erratically does not necessarily mean you car has problems; it may just mean that you were driving badly for whatever reason.

Maybe his car only started giving problems the next day and that is when he took it in for repairs.

Someone who has hurt their family time and time again due to drugs, alcohol or whatever...may have not been welcome to talk to their kids. Here in the US many get restraining orders to keep an out of control person away from us or the children if they have caused harm or scared them in anyway. Also, if he were out of control, who wants them around?

Like I said at the start, I'd love to hear from his ex's. They know why he's an ex better than anyone else maybe, kids too. I know that won't happen so I'll wait for the trial.

I hate it when itg ets to the point where is just no news. Its heartbreaking. I googled April today and there was one news report. Its just so sad.

I agree, which is why I've been going back through thread one when there were lots of developments and information that has since been *'sanitised', as well as the videos and reports on the BBC site.

*By sanitised I mean snippets like this

'April’s mother knew she was playing with another little girl and when she didn’t come home she went to the other girl’s house to look for her.

‘That’s when the girl said April had been taken in a van.’

Local councillor Michael Williams said: ’I just feel so sad. They are such a lovely family, very caring, always helping people.

'They are a really nice young couple who recently helped to create a very nice garden on their estate with fruit trees.

Ok, thanks for the clarification, I had assumed "driving erratically" means the car problems were already there on Monday.

But he took April and a couple of other children (his own I assume) on a crabbing trip in August. So he can't have been that estranged or unwanted or untrusted if the parents allowed that.

I also find it quite strange that nobody knew his new address.

Or could it be that LE did know his new address and in fact went to his house right away on Monday night but he just didn't show up the whole night?

Maybe an ex or his latest ex had good reason to break up with him since that trip in August? April disappeared Oct.,1st. Maybe a suspicion or odd behavior. Maybe one of the kids said something? Maybe he has been on a drunken tangent for months, years? Drunks can be funny, nice etc..or very violent, sneaky, etc.. Something happened for him to be living elsewhere. Doesn't sound like he found a rich woman either. I'll wait.

MB had only moved adresses a few weeks before. If he hadnt registered as living there in that 2 weeks, it would have taken time to find him. I believe they actually found him pretty quick.

From what I understand he broke up with VF. Moved to Llanbrynmair where he was evicted for keeping chickens. Then moved to Ceinws.

LE had been to the house in LLanbrynmair.

He was arrested whilst seen walking towards Machynlleth. I wonder if by then LE had already been to his house in Ceinwus.

Since we know that MH will likely be a witness in the trial, that's probably why the article has been amended. There are few UK articles left that still reference MH.

In the US, if there are articles, videos that can be used at trial & they are pulled and no longer found, it's always a good sign when that happens to me. It means they are building a case against the perp.

Maybe an ex or his latest ex had good reason to break up with him since that trip in August?.

Just for balance someone should point out that maybe she didn't. Maybe she was having an affair, or they were incompatible, grew apart, or any one of a multitude of common reasons.

I thought that too. That something happened on the crabbing trip.

However I live very close to a community like Bryn Y Gog, except it is in South Wales. I can assure you if there is even the slightest suspicion of something untoward to do with children, the community will take action and the person will be chased off the estate and would not be welcome back.

Close to where I live someone started such rumours about a poor man who was totally innocent. The man's live became a living hell and he had to move away.

And there was also this famous case in Newport, South Wales:

That's why it is very important to post responsibly on the internet and not speculate about paedophilia without some sort of evidence-based reason to do so. Unless someone knows someone whose child has told them he touched her inappropriately, I for one do not want to be responsible for someone being hounded to their death due to false rumors. It's about the most dangerous thing you can start a rumor about, in today's social climate.

And now I think about it, part of the reason he might have been crying in court that day - even if it later turns out he is innocent - is that when he heard the crowds outside he realised the community he has been part of for most of his life has turned against him. Does he have anyone to offer him moral support at all? Can you imagine how he will cope locked up until the trial, unable to get his side of the story out at all, because of the UK rules that prevent prisoners having a voice (at least in the USA prisoners can still communicate with the outside world). And knowing the whole world would like to get their hands on him and lynch him - including people that used to be his friends and now will not dare visit him for fear of being ostracised themselves? The UK is reverting to barbarism.

Whatever happened in this last breakup will be interesting to know towards his mindset, I'm sure, but the why is killing me. If she had an affair, there must have been some reason why. I'll wait for the trial. humph...

Lol! When someone has an affair it's always the other person's fault.. I'll have to remember that next time I see a man I fancy - it'll stop me feeling guilty if I jump into bed with him ;)

Or maybe she decided to get a partner closer to her own age (25) and not old enough to be her Dad.

Nowhere has it said she had an affair, said she ended the relationship. If MSM are near correct he was busier than one of Coolmore's best.

On another forum a family associate alleges MB split with his girlfriend the week before and had lost everything.

I personally wouldn't put these people as the smartest on the planet and on just one tiny estate there appears to be a few women who happily had MB's children. It all appears a little like an incestuous pass the parcel.
