In addition to it being very fortunate that no-one was killed in this incident, I think it's also a very fortunate that no-one else was in the car with him at the time his outrageous driving unfolded, as he would have also put those people in incredible danger too.Snipped from the live blog.....

The defendant informed the system that he did not want to reply
Dave Clark sent Paul Doyle a message to say that the defendant might find the area where the family was, which was in the area of Castle Street, blocked.
And that one piece of evidence is what, to me, condemns him absolutely. He could easily have parked further up the city centre and collected the Clarks in safety.

It seems that he was in such an apallingly destructive mood that no-one would have been able to calm him down and stop his his rampage or its' consequences.
