Claudia in the uni cctv, inside the building had dark hair. on first posters under DI Lucy Pope the posters had brown hair. The security guy at the uni,I remember reading stated Claudia had dark brown hair. She could have dyed it, and there would be towels and evidence of this. We are shown evidence of packets and boxes and mixed up colours shown, not information saying evidence suggests it was used, eg residue on towels bath/sink. Or was it said as I am not sure I have not missed that information x

Tricia will be on WS youtube tonight briefly at 10:00 pm but then at midnight Mountain time, she plans to do a 24 hour marathon "end of the world" youtube in (dis)honour of Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell. There will also be discussion of many missing people cases that perhaps don't get as much coverage as others ... whatever she and you folks can fit into those 24 hours.

You must be okay with Tricia perhaps nodding off, her couch at times empty with Scrappy Joe, Boo and Babe holding down the show between interludes, but all in all, Tricia will be there or thereabouts, listening to you folks and swapping tales with you ... for a whole 24 hours !! How exciting is that?

they could be work colleagues etc, but I dont think so....the police would have said something like ....they did know claudia and they were sure it was her....or just....they were sure it was her.

its a matter of opinion, etc, but I think the. scene in her house was staged.

ive been told not to talk to strangers

@cortina If the house was staged why do you think what appears to be a bed pillow on the arm of the sofa in the lounge and a toothbrush which was left on the kitchen sink drainer left in situ these items would to me be items that would have been placed back in bedroom and bathroom?

Claudius mother said that the house was generally as claudia would have left it, but, for her, it was a bit too much that. way...if you know what I mean.

staged doesn't mean faultlessly tidy.

first rule of cheating with homework....put in a. few. extra mistakes, so no one can say you absolutely copied. someone else

WS has been going for around 20 years.
Has any case ever been solved through WS ?
Does anyone know on here ?
‘Well-dressed man’ mystery in murders
It's not in the article, but WS helped afaik, also to link the mother "Angel" to the little daughter in a suitcase, although the discovering of the remains was more than 1000 km and 5 years apart. Both murdered in 2008, the mother found in 2010 (unidentified), the girl found in 2015 (unidentified), they were linked in 2015.

Vanished Claudia’s mother hits out at ‘blunder’ over photo

Joan
She said the initial picture, which had her daughter with blonde hair, was not accurate and could have hampered the early stages of the investigation.

later in the article joan says:-
Her mother said the image did not show how she looked at the time of her disappearance.
“I’d been with her the week before and she put auburn highlights in her hair,” she said.
“Around half a dozen people phoned the incident team to say it was the wrong photograph.
“It took a long time to get the right photograph out there.”

if anyone was going to stage my place to be convincing, they'd have to untidy anything I might have tidied in a fit of irrational behaviour

I don’t think the family or friends had a recent photo of her... she hated her picture being taken .
They produced a much older picture ie younger Claudia in order to get hair colour right .

are you saying the lighter or darker hair colour was right, popejohn

I think she went darker a week or so before she disappeared her mother and security guard said so but no one had a picture of her since the change ie the police had no choice !

so, for example, if I, as. a. stranger had been travelling through Heworth or York and seen her, I probably wouldn't have registered that this was the person the police were looking for.

in view of the circumstances and the time of day, id have probably. told the police what id seen, but. then they'd probably have told the public that she may have had darker hair when she disappeared...but they didn't

neither did. they indicate that the witnesses were very sure that it was her.

thats what makes me think it was a red herring

If my memory isn't wrong, she had an appointment with her hairstylist short before the "incident". I remember googling her hairstylist, who was relatively near her home.
So, if her mother did know the new haircolor and her hairstylist would have known, why did police search for Claudia with an unsuitable photo? Did they like it so much like you, pope, who will never forget her face until his end? ;) They had a choice; at least they could have explained, Claudia's haircolor would be darker than before. Or they could have used another photo of her: younger, narrower face, dark hair. Or they could have retouched the pic re the new haircolor with help of the hairstylist. IMO
ETA: Why don't the CCTV stills look like she had darker hair?

I dont know the answer to that, from Germany....I can only assume no one told the police or the information was lost or ignored

If she coloured her hair just before she went missing, why was the opened hair dye kit left in her bathroom? Maybe she decided to lighten it herself? In which case, it would have been lighter again

If she indeed dyed her hair once more and by herself with a lighter color, that would have been a risiko re the result. Can't imagine, a young woman would risk that, if she had to work again the next morning. Could have turned out for her to be flashing with auburn/orange strands the next day.

Claudia did not like her picture taken and it looks there is no picture that was taken in say the last week or so .
unless the picture exists on her mobile or the new person’s phone !
