I have asked this question to cold case
was Claudia seen on cctv on these days
16th to and from work
17th to and from work
18th to and from work
19th to work
I was told immediately that she was not seen on the 19th on any cctv.. they would get to me re the other dates but they were working on a case so it may takes some days
That was some months ago now I still have no reply..
make of that what you will

Thank you @keep-it-real It is rather telling as I'm sure they could have answered to all of the dates at the same time.
I suppose it's a one way street and as you weren't providing evidence around these dates there would be no reason for them to provide you anything?

but NYP say

Reported missing

Was she on holiday all of that week ? Do people change their sleep routines when on holiday or wake at the same time ?
Wish I could wake later at the weekends .

I wouldn't say that any of the people weve considered would definitely be irrelevant....id think most of them know about what was going on, but. I dont know if any or many or which were involved in Claudius. disappearance.

I dont think anyone intended claudia to die...something went wrong....although the people involved were certainly accustomed to using violence, but, although one of them may....but only may...have delivered the fatal blow, I dont think the heworth crew were.

I think they were near the end of a chain of drug dealers or something like that...ie selling the product on to the final customer and whatever was going on was put into motion by the bigger boys. or mainly a rival gang...I may be wrong, of course, maybe the Heworth lot did get more actively involved....or we may be talking about something claudia got involved in that the Heworth lot didn't, but they've since learned about.

if you look at the cctv really carefully, in a darkened room, I think you will notice some odd things...im no good at tech, so, if I can see them you can....I wouldn't have just thought this , but the comments by gt got me wondering and I started. to question the likelihood of the sexual betrayal theory in light of what we do know and I went off it....unless she betrayed a mr. big in whatever activity we may be considering

Are you saying then that you don't think they meant for something to go wrong but wheels were put in motion by seniors in a drug supply chain ?

Yet they still keep saying she went out after she arrived home to post a letter ?
They keep saying her phone was switched off at midnight .
Yet they mention things that were revealed years later !?
In this article it says Claudia was captured on cctv the previous day but what about days earlier still ? Was she walking alone every time ?

Did she go out again or had she intended to stop off before getting home but was being polite by accepting a lift from Jo ?
Perhaps she was dropped off outside her home and then walked back in direction of Nags ?
Perhaps she never went home at any point ?

I don't recall Newby ever working at the Uni . Did he not work at Monk Bar with Claudia ?

What would his hairstyle reveal ?

or was she not seen at all on some of those days because she left from a different location than her own home.

They did show cctv of a car near Melrosegate post office in the earlier hours of another day but it didn't contain Claudia in the footage . I do believe you have a point here KIR .
Police were asking public to see if they recognised any of these people or car .

obviously, I think that any innocent person who is considered as a suspect here would be champing at the bit to answer....I dont mean I think that do is innocent...as ive said, ive no idea who dealt the fatal blow, or whatever it was...but just as a general principle.

but I think that it would be very unwise of them to do so....anything they say apart from saying im innocent, could. be twisted and used against them in any future trial.

with all that we've heard, I really dont think this is an. ordinary individual acting totally alone, and only because they were sexually betrayed by claudia in some way, getting incredibly lucky in the context of the clean up....as ive said, nothing is impossible but this would be highly improbable

For Oxer to go on TV he must feel that he is in the clear or police have reassured him. I know that he could be a Huntley bit it is unlikely .
Probably he is just a sad specimen that doesn't get much attention and got exited when Channel 5 came knocking .
I doubt he would have got any airtime if it had been the BBC .

I do believe that the media have this wrong here . Was it not said that she stayed in touch with Newby from her days at Monk Bar and another article quoted this ? I will have to look back .

I have discovered quite a few media contradictions even though many of them use Reuters as a source of information .
I say this because Newby if he did work at uni , met Claudia when they were both at Monk Bar and then he returned there before she disappeared .
If this is the case he must have not enjoyed his time at uni .
For me it is more likely that press have this wrong unless other Sleuths can correct this ?

yes for some people their waking time changes when on holiday..
While on a work day most wake by an alarm call for obvious reason of getting to work for a specific time

But was she in holiday for the full week- just trying to help you answer your original question regarding reporting time .

I have been wondering if Claudia used to have an afternoon nap when on an early shift. If she returned home at around 15:00 this could be the reason why she was able to stay up all night or perhaps turn in later than 9 pm ?

Getting up at 5 is not that early for many people and she did have some late nights at the Nags .

THERE IS NO DRUGS SHE WAS GOING WITH SOMEONE SHE SHOULDNT AND HE GOT JEALOUS OR WHATEVER AND DID FOR HER. END OFF.

I’m going to have to ignore drug related posts from now on. Please. Anybody. List the EVIDENCE for drugs and not just oh this CCTV footage Magnified to 1000 so it’s entirely pixilated looks like a pack of weed rubbish. I want proper evidence not speculation

Drugs may not have been the reason for her missing however the cctv footage smacks of some kind of dealing . There is no proof that Alleyman is related to the dissapearance and it could even have been staged to make all think Claudia was at home that night ?
To me the white coat person glancing up at the cost cutters camera looks far too staged -"Look at me" type of scenario .
It could also be that the 4 arrested didn't have anything to do with Claudia missing , they may be keeping silent so as not to incriminate themselves for something else .
However I do not believe that you can categorically say that Drugs were not involved .
