@Bagpipes I also found this statement by Oxer strange as he would have had to go out of his way and take a longer, less convenient route as in his statement. I attach a Google Maps route that shows the scenario:
@oudzuid you didn't attach the image.

On my attached image, Oxer is coming from the direction of his home-Red Line.
He approaches roundabout at intersection of Stockton Lane and Heworth Road:

Scenario 1
The route he would normally take and passing Claudia's house, indicated by the Google Red Pin-The Green Route

Scenario 2
The route that Oxer would most likely take if he was avoiding Heworth Road-red Route. The Orange broken line along the red route shows a possible short cut.

I recall in another online forum SC commented that JK smoked that brand of cigarettes and JK's brother was selling cigarettes with this brand online??

It’s possible but can you give us a reason as to why would anyone come up with such a lie ?

Many sightings aren't always of the POI. One thing I wonder about that is it was said CL was blonde at the time and then a while later it came out she actually was in brunette phase at time of the disappearance so the picture they were using to promote her missing wasn't that accurate if I've got all that right.

As ever with anything NYP release it's very light on detail e.g. did person who made this sighting see the two people having a row? Did female get out of the car and was then coaxed back in and car then went off at great pace?

Must've been some incident like this for police to be promoting it in media in the years afterwards.

Just seen the link and seems the car was actually parked which seems odd to me so it wouldn't have departed in a hurry if she'd been bundled back in without wanting to. Also no mention of the other person smoking which appeared in many of the press reports.

Man and woman seen arguing outside University of York

It could've been her but then you wonder what happened given she was already 10 minutes late for her shift and was outside the vehicle for her then not to just walk inside so not convinced.

Sorry, having problems with posting.

@oudzuid can you post the attachment you referred to yesterday regarding DO routes to work?

Thanks

I’m not so sure of your last sentence ?
Claudia was probably fighting for her life bless her.Work not important.
She could have been ‘walked ‘or carried unconscious to the car .
She could have run off without her bag and he reminded her that her bag was still in the car .

We see the allyman with a rucksack could he have been staying on a river boat ?
Can anyone local tell me how far a suitable mooring place close to Claudia’s house would be ?
Perhaps the bank the dogs took their handlers to ?
Did Claudia make that journey more than once which made it easier for the dogs to follow ?
I am struggling to see a backpack clearly in the CCTV. I appreciate that for evidence preservation reasons LE may well have pixelated the footage but what could appear to be a backpack could just be the movement of the Alley persons clothing as they walk

JK lived on the high level of a newish and only partially occupied apartment close to the river at the time of CL disappearance.

Any telecoms experts on here?
We know the police used the triangulation method to identify an area (including York University and stretching to Tockwith) where CL's phone was switched off at 12.10 pm on 19th March.
With improvements in telecom technology, could experts model the original signal strength from each mast and, using enhanced processes, be able to identify a smaller search area? Or is my imagination running away with me?
@Yozzer In an earlier in case announcement by Galloway, he declared that he knew a precise location of CL phone but he was withholding this detail at the time, however at a later date Malyn said it was not possible to accurately predict location.

Was Galloway using an element of "Kidology" to flush out the perpetrators?
I'm sorry I am not aware of current technology here and if this can be applied retrospectively.

@Popejohn3 Perhaps to throw LE and all off the scent. In the same way as Alley Person may have had nothing to do with CL Disappearance.
They may have just been going to get something out of their car that was parked in Heworth Place and they could have been staying in a local B and B or even Nags, where the parking was full at the time.
I recall once I was staying in a hotel and kept forgetting that I had left items I needed in y car. I must have made 2 journeys back and forth one evening :)

Perhaps the plan was that CL was captive in Acomb or elsewhere but the smokescreen was to make all think she was Home Alone?

If you were going to kill someone would you parade in front of a CCTV camera?

You may do if you had not premeditated the deed of course.

@Popejohn3 Would they come forward if they were doing a drug deal?
Not very likely in my opinion . The police would be very grateful for coming forward and probably would not want to know the reason you were there : simply have you seen anything suspicious ?

At this time of the morning, any couple seen talking or arguing and seen could then be viewed as suspicious and would stand out even if innocuous

Police would be interested if they were higher up the distribution chain though than just a street dealer

I wonder, what would have happened, if DO had thought to pick CL up in the morning (which he successfully avoided)? Probably he would have had met someone at Claudia's door .... Did he know and didn't he want to meet someone there? Why and since when did he know? Did they (DO and CL) arrange, that he wouldn't have to come, if she didn't send him an SMS in time? Something like a code between them?

A bit lying can't be so very difficult ... The NH's crew is holding out the lying for 12 years now. IMO

Careful with screenshots @Vixey, or you’ll be timed out before you can say Suzy

I think the bag was pretty much neglected until the perp had finished doing what he needed to do, mid day on the 19th. Went through the bag, switched the phone off.

I'm struggling to make the connection between backpack and riverboat.

It’s just a matter of time until
This will be reality - the uk are leading the way in this and similar impact that Dna brought on cold case will be seen with the emergence of this technology. Problem here is it’s likely the perps will die before and justice can be served
