You’d of thought it would be the college that laundered chef whites. You would think unlike a shop uniform - that a chef would put on their whites upon arrival at work?
Wonder how many sets of chef whites she had. Think a minimum of 3 sets would be the norm, 1 to wear, 1 spare and 1 in the wash. Would be interested to know the whereabouts of her other sets

I don't think he was alley man, though he is high on my list (in fact at the very top).
No not her works colleague if rejected he was in a very good place to try and try again and she would have mentioned it to their boss

Just been thinking about the rucksack, chef whites and straighteners. Why would she carry her chef whites back and forth

jealousy - id think someone's given up a marriage and then hasn't received

Have you seen him? He isnt alleymen

To launder them?
We don't know the straighteners were in the ruck sack.

Re the chef's Whites. I've worked in kitchens before. Granted not York Uni or York local authority.
If you work in a kitchen you're provided with uniform. Obviously you can't wear it to or from work, you change into your kitchen uniform AT work. Expected to wear clean uniform every day but not provided with enough uniform to see you through the week. She probably had a locker and kept her kitchen shoes in the locker but would take home laundry daily and take fresh whites to work, a couple of times a week at least.

I used to take all uniform in on a Monday. All dirty home each night and take fresh laundered in a couple of times a week. Just to ensure clean uniform every day. Though to be fair, many don't wear fresh trousers every day if they can get away with it.

[QUOTE="Blonderabbit, post: 16574167,

He looks a similar build. I really could not say. He's as shifty as IMO.

I worked for local authority and we didn't get our whites laundered. Think about it, £1000s a month in costs.

If all clean whites were taken to work on a Monday why would someone need to take freshly laundered ones in a couple of times per week?

She probably didn't have enough to last the week. I had 3xtops and 2xtrousers. She wouldn't have 5xtops and 5xtrousers.

Then you need a spare set for spills etc. I even kept spare socks in my locker. As for the hair straighteners, yes, I can understand she may have used them before the start of shift but at end of shift., no way. If you put hair straighteners through your hair after a breakfast and lunch serving, it's a recipe for disaster. No pun intended. Her hair would have absorbed grease and odours and hair straighteners would have made it worse.

You have to have at least one clean set in your locker in case you have a spillage .

Just an insight how kitchens work. Claudia and DO were probably the only staff in the kitchen at 6am. Then they either served breakfast or they had kitchen assistants in for the early shift, which I doubt. Kitchen manager was probably in the kitchen at 8/9 am. Then you have kitchen assistants turning up between 10 and 11.45 for lunch serving.

Lunch servings over by 1 maybe 1.30. Prep for the following day, as a chef Claudia wouldn't be involved in the clean up process. If her shift ended at 2 I wonder why she wasn't on CCTV until 2.30?

Guaranteed, DO and Claudia worked together alone for a minimum of 1 hour a day. Could be that DO was Kitchen manager, sometimes a chef is Kitchen manager.
I've heard kitchen banter, it's rife because kitchens are top heavy with females.

So probably, the only person in a position to offer Claudia a lift to work, or pick her up as she's walking to work in the mornings is going to be DO.

Police...Did you pass her? Did you see her? Did you offer her a lift? ....no Gov.. I took a different route.

So wonder if and where her spare sets were located

She took her whites home after her shift, in order to launder them then take them back to work. Are you struggling to grasp this scenario?

Not struggling at all. I simply asked how many sets she probably had and the location of her spare sets eg in a locker or at her home !

She probably had some at home and some in her locker. Midweek taking some back to work after laundering. Who knows?
