She probably had some at home and some in her locker. Midweek taking some back to work after laundering. Who knows?
Suppose without really knowing how many sets she had its impossible to know if her missing rucksack contained her whites as reported

Yes, I wonder why he needed to be at work at 6am.

Midweek, good chance there was whites in the rucksack. I'm sure her work locker would have been looked at by the police. Either way, the rucksack she used for work is missing and hasn't been found...yet.

Do you think it will turn up some day?
Or do you think it’s with Claudia?

No idea Pope, it's missing. That's as much as we know.

Michael Snelling also gave Claudia lifts he worked as a lab technician at the Uni and drove a focus

Claudia Lawrence suspect Michael Snelling's family defend him as he goes free | Daily Mail Online
I have been looking back at snelling and early suggestion he was indeed breaking focus. wonder why his house was searched so early on, home sealed up and car seized, then further searches and his mother’s also. Then arrested on suspicion of murder Why and what do police know on him. Read on here back at the beginning he had a plenty of fish account, was that true ? why is snelling steered away from on groups x

To launder them?
We don't know the straighteners were in the ruck sack.
You’d of thought it would be the college that laundered chef whites. You would think unlike a shop uniform - that a chef would put on their whites upon arrival at work?

Just looking at Maxine Carr she was arrested for perverting the course of justice.

you wonder how this is applied in Claudias case

Perverting the course of justice is an English common law crime. It involves someone preventing justice from being served on themselves or on someone else. A serious criminal offence, perverting the course of justice is triable on indictment only. ... Falsely accusing someone of a crime, resulting in their arrest.

We know from Peter Lawrence's comments that she always carried her chef whites in her rucksack so she took them home each day.

It is probably the police that advice him ( and others ) to keep away from on line chat ?

So probably, the only person in a position to offer Claudia a lift to work, or pick her up as she's walking to work in the mornings is going to be DO.

Snelling sometimes gave her a lift. Other staff on an early start, not necessarily in kitchens but who knew her and lived on her route. We don't know for sure who else gave her lifts but we do know that other university staff, in addition to DO and MS, were interviewed by police.

Apologies to KIR just read your post re MS.

Maybe he had borrowed his car to someone.
Perhaps Claudia and friend had visited his home at some stage.
Did police arrest him on suspicion to put some pressure on him to find out other info.

In my opinion the case seems to have been micro managed by NYP.. maybe its because its an ongoing case and he might be called to give evidence on something in the future.

IMO

The promise of a full English breakfast in the Roger Kirk Centre perhaps.

I think her friends really opened up with the police and told them about their strong suspicions and police obliged but I guess that’s all they were ... strong suspicions !

Did CL ever give a lift to her colleagues, when her car was still intact?

We didn't see a collection of chef whites in her closet at home ..... If she had to clean them by herself, she would have had x of them. If she hadn't to clean them, she didn't need to take them home.

Everyone could have done it, if he was interested in her and looked for an opportunity. IMO
