@MEKON re evening alleyman cctv
looks like they could have dropped the rucksack? from the right shoulder position to the midriff carrying position? If the person was aiming at walking any distance, would they not carry a rucksack conventionally over both shoulders? 1) Thus; could 'Allyperson' not be travelling very far, and therefore be soon entering a property or Car? 2) Additionally; would it suggest the person was right handed if the individual was indeed carrying a rucksack?

1) Yes 2) not necessarily.

Im not convinced it was actually Claudia Peter himself when reviewing the footage 'someone who looks like CL' he chose his words carefully was this because he wasnt convinced it was Claudia.
Something happened in that footage that was edited out in my opinion and Im suspicious of just what was deposited into the post box.
Its possible that the female was a decoy and LE had been using her as a precaution/protection in what had become a seriously dnagerous situation for Claudia .

These are my opinions only

Re father sounding unsure : could it be because he had not seen his daughter since she coloured her hair . I believe her mother said she changed the hair colour a week before .
@keep-it-real I agree with you here and I recall That CL Dad said about her leaving work (CCTV) "Thats Claudia" and as you say when he reviewed the footage by Melrosegate Post Office he said "That looks like Claudia" He wasnt sure was he?
different cameras !

@Popejohn3 I understand your point, however if he recognised her in the footage 20 minutes earlier, why would he be unsure re the CL at the Post Box?

@FromGermany But was PR the only person who was jealous of CL and JK going on holiday and would it only impact on a male admirer?
I wonder why Suzi wasn't going too. As she said her and Claudia were like sisters.

It’s asked if he was using “kidology” he wasn’t.

if you was having a night of sexercise the last think you’d be bothered about was charging your phone. Phones with basic functionality batteries lasted days - back in 2009. Come on PopeJohn think a bit more flexibly
@Blonderabbit When you asked him re if he was using Kidology, did he explain why the SIO who superseded Galloway, Malyn denied that the phone would provide that level of accuracy. Also did he tell you why he made so many mistakes / Emissions in this investigation that were discovered during Malyns review?

And what about the items in the bag?
If there is a bag, the items cannot be seen from this footage.

If not then it is interesting that they were able to pinpoint Acomb. Perhaps this was linked to a series of phone calls or texts which they were able to positively ID as having been made in Acomb - e.g. cross referencing with a friend's texts where reference to location was made e.g. 'I'm in The Acomb'; or perhaps record of a phone call to a taxi company to collect CL from Acomb plus cctv evidence e.g. in the pub?

The alternative is that they are holding back on the location of where her phone was switched off. Why?

Could it be that it was possibly a safe house, a police station or a military barracks?[/QUOTE]

@keep-it-real Is it just not a case of Cellular mast positioning.
The mast that her phone was close too when switched off on 19th was at the UNI but covered the 9 Mile radius and so could not be precise.
In the weeks leading up to her disappearing, she was known to be in Acomb area and as you say @keep_it_real this could be due to SMS sent but also could be that the Acomb mast the phone connected to covered a much smaller area, hence the accuracy of the positioning.

What makes you think that it could have been a safe house, police station or Army Barracks-I am genuinely interested in your reasoning here.

The meeting between CL/SC planned for Thursday in the NH was to plan a holiday (according to SC).

@Yozzer In another online forum SC explained that CL was due to go on hols with JK around Easter time and the meet with SC was to plan a summer hoidayl for SC and CL. A different holiday.
Wish I could take as many Hols as CL was able to.

And we don't know that the bag is CL's.
@Yozzer If it was a bag it could be an overnight bag that Alley Person had just been to their parked car in HP to get.
If it wasn't a backpack then the claimed sighting of the oriental emblem could have been on Alley Persons coat.

Just to be clear I am in no way that I suggesting that the rucksack/backpack with the chinese emblem is Cluadia's..

I stated that because if I carry a rucksack on one shoulder; I use my right shoulder because I am right handed. I wouldn't feel comfortable having it over just my left shoulder

Additionally; I would not carry the rucksack on just my right shoulder If I was travelling a distance. I certainly would not carry it at all on just my left shoulder

Preferably I'd feel comfortable having both straps in use over each shoulder in a conventional manner; If I was travelling a distance

From memory when analysing that cctv footage, I'm pretty sure alleyman's trousers had hi viz stripes on the legs so perhaps his jacket had a company logo on the back?

Distance plus different equipment .Hair colour for example not so obvious if the subject is further away IMO

As a left hander I always wear a shoulder bag on my right shoulder, it just feels right. Maybe it's so I have my left hand free for carrying car key/phone, opening a car boot etc.

Re the way he wore the rucksack straps, would be inclined to agree that it suggests he was only travelling a short distance before possibly throwing it onto a car seat or in a boot. Or hanging it up in a nearby house?

I agree. She was picked up by a work colleague seconds after this sighting so the times were corroborated. And she was still alive then. Yes there could have been some key event happening at the post office but I can't read something into a cctv clip that isn't there to see so I have to accept this was just a routine journey home.

It may be down to the individual then or perhaps traits associated with left and right handed people

If I was concentrating on unlocking a door, I would have the rucksack on my right shoulder to leave my good right hand to operate the key

I'm sure the authorities have had a behaviourist looking at the footage of 'alleyperson'

Did anyone notice the trait of the person's stride; to me, it looked like a 'buckled stride'?
