if you look at the first three gardens at the nags end - there is no alley access for bins - those houses must have to use their front doors

interesting pics - not sure why the gates are there - could be bin access - could be neighbourly love

I used to live in a cottage terrace we had access to next doors garden and drive written into the deeds for wheelie bins and deliveries, on the other side was a pub and car park, we also had a parking space in the car park. Not York btw

I believe Linda did see CL.
As Linda said she was returning from picking a child up from the nearby school, I would think the police could have easily verified that and would have done so.
The nurse who lived over the road from CL claims never to have seen CL all the time she lived there, owing to shift patterns. I wonder if she was married and if so, did her husband drink in the NH? Any nefarious actions by him on the night or morning of 18/19 could have gone unnoticed. Just a thought, JMO

I have been wondering when alley way man goes off camera - does he go down the alley (tenfoot) or does he go to Heworth Place. I am thinking that the police say in their requests for information " what was a man doing behind Claudias House. He is known as the alley man, so I am thinking he wont down the alley off camera (though I believe they can see him) . Another thought is one of her neighbours opposite has cctv - so they must know if alleyway man went inside on the 18th? They must also know what the focus did from that camera. You wonder why it did not catch her leaving.

reactive phase - if you asked cold case - would they say they are not looking for anyone else? I noticed Dai on some of the televised appeals - he is looking for the university road couple to come forward and thinks its hugely significant because the man was wearing a black hoodie. Could it be that when he started the review he thought is was hugely significant , but then after the arrests and their release he didn't?

And this is one reason we keep asking for the micro site to be updated but I appreciate not so easy if you are hoping or guessing he might just drop the word ‘hugely’

You might find the camera saw a shadow leaving just like the ‘shadow’ was seen entering the house on Wednesday evening .But with a lot of surmising going on by the officers because the footage was so blurred .Hence ‘ we believe she went to work as usual in the morning ‘
Or words to that effect

@Popejohn3 I was going to ask your advice.
Did the early police team believe that CL left early in the morning but Malyn thought differently. I'm a little confused here.

@oudzuid .. Im just listening to the footage of the video I mentioned before and realise .. you need to be using the right earpiece only NOT the left.
Sorry for any confusion.
Thank you @keep-it-real I haven't had a chance to listen to this yet.

I’m sure you know the answer to that question but I’ll humour you lol
I think the police always believed she left for work in the morning due to missing bag, mums conversation , breakfast dishes , sightings of women that looked like Claudia and possibly other clues but hey new boss comes out with What if ? And I say why not ? ( explore the idea something happened to her during the night )
Signed ‘the lurker’ :)

MOD NOTE:

It is considered disrespectful to the victim, their family and friends, and other members to go off topic and discuss something totally unrelated to this case. Tea, whiskey and other beverages are frivolous chat, and should be taken to private messages so as not to derail the conversation on this public thread. That is a violation of TOS, and will be dealt with accordingly.

Thank you for your efforts to post respectfully and responsibly in line with the TOS we all agreed to when we joined Websleuths.

Faithfully,

When I went down the alley last year 2020 you could only go about 3/4 of the way down as it was all overgrown so you couldn’t walk through to the Naha head car park but I suspect in Claudia’s say this was possible. It was overgrown but no litter. It’s just your usual back garden alleyway really.
Would any evidence still be there in 2020 @ArcadeFire Particularly as Police have conducted a "Fingertip" search?

I notice that the start of alley has now been paved over, no doubt at request of police.

Yes it has changed, the timeline and the map. If you notice it doesn’t say four men arrested with murder, it says THREE. Says three realeased. Is it the nags three?
Nine people were arrested or interviewed under caution in the last 11 years soon to be 12 long years ! Bless them all .
I wonder how many new lines of enquiries came out of these interviews?
Do you think someone will grow a conscience after all these years ?
What headline is going to appear on the 18 th March 2021 ?

Investigative Journalism?

I spoke to Cold Case in 2020 re website updates .. they advised me its not managed by them.

So perhaps its something you should bear in mind in regard to updates and new info.:)
I believe that the microsite is valuable but there is more evidence out there and surely why we are involved in this thread. If it was taken that "If it isn't on the microsite, it shouldn't be considered" then all of our efforts would be to no avail.

I am absolutely certain that police have much unpublished evidence that they are saving for the eventual trial.
