Due to where ray profile picks were taken,I wonder if the person who recognised Claudia in hartlepool was ray himself x
@Vixey I think that this is highly unlikely.

Do you know the reason for his bad relationship with Jim?

Jim was his boss and Ray is vocal about his disagreeing with Jim online. Ray comes back early from Algarve (Cut short) due to hearing about Claudia.

Ray is very troubled and unhappy about something upon his return.

Sorry but this is my speculation and my opinion only but was Ray troubled and upset because:

  • Something in his room above the Nags was different?
  • Had he taken his car to airport (Expensive parking it for 3 weeks-Planned length of holiday)?
I mention his car as did he leave it at home for someone to use?

If that was me I would have said "Claude's, I heard about your cars engine replacement and it being off the road for so long-Why not use mine while I'm away?)

He could of course made the same offer to another Nag and could his car have been used in the crime?

A scenario perhaps we should consider is this:

  • Rays car used in crime
  • Rays car then needs to be taken out of area in case it is searched by LE
  • Lender of car takes car to airport and parks it up

Lender of car sends message to Ray -("When you get back I've put car in car park 🤬🤬🤬 to save you paying for a Taxi")

Does Ray start putting 2+2 together re his room and the car??

Personally I agree with @Andyboy Ray is not a suspect.

Not a suspect, does not mean he was unaware of a possible situation or Is telling the truth. Though not close to Jim, he is very much so to JK x

Similarly her back door
Indeed, but given a choice between trying to remove a potentially dead body either through a door that is on a busy residential road or through the back into a more secluded alley, my money is on the back door

Wonder if the female who reported a altercation around the back entrance that evening resulted in Dai,s thoughts carried through the back alley ?

You are exactly right
It is identification versus recognition and as you rightly say, by showing it a nd if it ends up at court then lawyers will argue that you are mistaken in your identification of him and that’s because you have seen his image displayed in the press and it’s merely recognition etc
Look at R v Turnbull identification rules

@Angleterre can I ask. If the case did drag on for a similar length of time that has already passed is this a case where at some point the details held on file would have the restricted public access lifted...
Can I ask for an answer to this in two parts please
1. If the case included some details or documents that were secret
2. If they did not.

Also is there anyway the public are able to find out if a case which is still open does include details/documents which would be considered secret.

Taken from Wiki
Declassification is the process of documents that used to be classified as secret ceasing to be so restricted, often under the principle of freedom of information. Procedures for declassification vary by country. Papers may be withheld without being classified as secret, and eventually made available.

Just looking at all the options

R is not the only member of staff to have left NH since the disappearance of CL. As I said earlier, the place must be toxic.
