In the beginning her ferociously loyal friends would not hear anyone talking about her in the past tense I bet even the police wouldn’t dare refer to her in the past tense in front of JK SC

That’s funny as suzy did after only ten days ... clearly highlighted in a newspaper article. GF also does in his shifty video ...

What confuses me is that we dont have a clear view of her walking towards the post box the figure who approaches the postbox from the university road direction is walking backwards.
If you look at it the person we are told is CL posting something she is just shown at the post box then walking away in the Heworth direction.. It has me wondering if she arrived at Melrosegate PO in a car?

If it's official and on CCTV that Claudia has posted something; then wouldn't it be more beneficial to find out:

• What was posted?
• Who was it being posted to?
• Why was it being posted at that particular time?

I've 'chinwagged with my missis' about this as I often do, as it's a good idea to get ideas from both genders

If the authorities have not identified where the letter went (Energy Bill, Insurance Bill, Change of contract at work etc). Then surely the item has gone somewhere to someone that's keeping quiet for a good reason

So; has the item been posted to:

• Someone that Claudia thought she could trust for safekeeping
• The potential ringleader of a possible crime
• Or for whatever reason to one of the persons involved in the toxic mess

It may be that Claudia has been promising under threats, to return something for a while that is being used for various reasons against someone or some people. This could perhaps give weight to herself possibly being watched. Similarly, it could answer while she was avoiding people and places. Perhaps Claudia didn't want to 'cross their path' until the item had been received by the other party

However; is the item of such value, that even knowledge of the object and Information be enough to make the holder of this information an 'awkward entity'. Thus; have a person or persons removed the 'awkward entity' once they thought the item has been posted. Similarly; have a person or persons removed the 'awkward entity' once they found a copy of the item inside Claudia's house. Or has it been more sinister? Has the plan always been that Claudia will be removed after we think she has posted the item and after we meet Claudia 'face to face'? Then perhaps Claudia will reveal the: did you post the item and who to? who knows about it? have you a copy and where is it?

Or what she was posted was innocuous and of no relevance to the investigation so not worthy of police comment. It could have been a birthday card. If CL was not a computer user, any financial transactions not on direct debit would need to be via a cheque in the post e.g. mail order catalogues. I suspect the police already know and it is of no consequence to the investigation.

Had to have a laugh but certainly thorough thinking going on by you .
I think it’s much simpler than that ! I believe I know what was posted and btw have told police about it .But you just can’t believe the turn of events even a crime thriller would not come up with it !

I don't see her walking backwards! She seems to have acquired a jacket in her right hand and the rucksack is more to her left side but she posts it without breaking her stride.

There is a slight question mark in my mind about the red van maybe having dropped her off - we just can't tell from the information we have been given but one of our members who knows about time vs distance travelled may be able to work that out based on police times on when she left YU to when was picked up by Jo.

I don’t think they know . The birthday boy or girl would have told them about it . And I’m sure they never got an answer to their question : what did she post that day ?

I think a few on here suspect the red van might belong to one of the prime suspects. As you know, 'coming forward' is not something they have ever done willingly.

I think people would add other possible candidates such as Drugs, but IMO I don't think cash or drugs would have been posted

I'm sure I saw on Crimewatch? the Police asking the public If anyone knew about the contents of the letter? Perhaps someone since has disclosed this request

Maybe I wasn't clear; communication can be hampered when it's written


If there is a safe or deposit box with some important, sensitive and valuable items within it. And the owner has the key or has 2 keys (the one used often and the other is somewhere 'safe-ish)

And someone acquires info plus the ability to gain access to a key or keys to access a safe in order to remove items from within it. If they go away with an item or items out the safe; plus go away with 1 or 2 keys for example

Then surely someone's going to be a bit upset
