Pl is as sane as you and me !He is a very distraught father looking for his younger daughter.
He has done and still doing his utmost to find her

Never suggested he is insane, but IMO a book shouldn't be judged by its cover

Nothing sinister about it PL seems to be much closer to CL
They drunk together about once a week lent her his car and he was mobile he also reported her missing and probably knew the police officers in charge

Yes he was single and she was single, just a bit of fun ! he visited 3/4 times a week and never complained even saying publicly when MD expressed his in ease with how the case was handled” he does not speak for or express my thoughts and feelings on this matter” or to that effect! something niggles me.I am however am only suggesting my gut feelings on this only snd obviously feel for the family and I don’t know him personally to know his character so probably way off the mark. Think a reward would have been nice, and again there could be a reason for not doing so, eg money requested x

What even now? before Claudia's parting there was a period where JK lived with CL and I would think a bond formed between PL and JK. he would perhaps chat to her whilst waiting for CL or give them lifts to places they were going out to and even picking them up. However PL must of given JKs possible involvement thought? Does he dismiss it out of hand? is there a niggling doubt in his mind? He is in the game so he will of considered the possibilities. Likewise does JK feel her relationship with PL has changed? Does she feel she's a suspect?

PL has often said in the media, he feels the answers lie within the Nags - and she is at the helm

Also like to add that a large reward should be offered where possible imo, If only to serve its real purpose. Unless this is not wanted in this instance also. Another Initial Thought when I Started to follow Claudias case,Is that she was different and with a Greater education. Did NYP believe Claudia was also the weakest link and though Closely linked with her friends The best option to gain information. Did claudia reveal the Friday prior her guilt In doing so on her friends, but felt no other option

I agree with you @Vixey that CL was different not only educationally but also in her lifestyle choices. She mixed with people from a very early age who most girls of her age and background would not have had anything to do with some of those people its said she still retained a connection with. Connections cannot help but become more complex as people move in different directions personally and lets say proffessionally.
Within this complex situation did a relationship she had within that particular group become less important to the other person and Claudia chose to make a decision that would not only have repercussions for that person but also for a wider group connected to that person and the activities they were involved in.
She had a good education in my opinion a double cross situation cannot be ruled out here, she would have been clever enough to orchestrate it in a more discreet way than others might.
Did she go to LE or did like @Vixey suggest they get to her?
Either way the fact that she moved to a property on the doorstep of a Pub frequented by 'rogues' made it her place of choice for socialising up to 4 times a week forged best friend status with 2 females, entering into a relationship with a married man within that establishment, took holidays with the 2 females, one of which she invited into her home for a year long stay after only knowing her for a short time.
Some might not see her place of work an important choice in all this but I do.

Did the female friend she took in when she needed a place to stay for a year let her know she had been rumbled?

Certainly from what I can see and it is only my opinion she was being protected in the days leading up to her disappearance

And @keep-it-real She would have attended the Nags BEFORE she moved to her cottage at Heworth Road as did she not share a house with her Dad previously close by to Heworth. Or was the house she lived in registered in his name?
