Yes an awkward look and wonder if Claudia put something away/hidden and James looks to have a similar expression. I do feel it maybe down to David holding something or doing something x

Yes it looks like the police had their ears to the ground and heard rumours that they knew what happened to Claudia . But R G came on loud and clear and refuted that rumour !This video dated 2nd April 2009 that it appears some people thought the police knew what had happened to Claudia.

Road bridge over a former railway line - now a cycle path. Various photos, OS map location etc here: Photos of Melrosegate bridge :: Geograph Britain and IrelandWas Melrosegate bridge a disused railway bridge or a bridge that ran over a disused railway track?

Hi Pope, Will look into that when home. Has any old maps or a little bit of history been discussed over the years. As may not even come up on current plans xI heard these pubs could have had their own wells !
There are air raid bunkers hidden on heworth road. One found in 2020 , again I can’t upload the pic I have but it’s on news pages.Hi Pope, Will look into that when home. Has any old maps or a little bit of history been discussed over the years. As may not even come up on current plans x
Thanks for that nice to have a local expert !Thought I'd show this. The red line on the picture - we called it "Rape Alley". I don't know when it got that name. It was used a lot to walk/cycle to the centre of York or back, basically the main route aside from a vehicle.
The spot I believe is where a rucksack was spotted. We would walk from Rape Alley right through this spot and down, turn left through Wentworth Way to get to Goodricke College. If you're coming from Green Dykes Ln, where I guess Claudia would be coming from, you'd also probably take this route. You can also stay on University rd from that direction and turn right on the roundabout, go through the main part of the campus and over the lake, but that's a longer way it felt like to me.
The purple line is a path through cow fields people took, not as common, but often enough. You can go throigh allotments or army barracks and end up very close to the police station, a quick shortcut to that part of the city.
The sighting of the couple arguing was on University Rd but I'm not sure exactly where?
