Do you think the group of people CL was with could be case sensitive so can not be made public?

Can I ask did SC acknowledge that CL was with a group and couldnt remember or knew who they were. Or couldnt remember she was with a group at all.

Im interested you mention 'a group of men'
Yes , Suzy cooper said that she did not recognise the group of men she was sat with that night, and did not ask. That was a direct response to me in a group, when I inquired x

The person with a key to her front door gains importance in this situation. One cannot break in a door just because no one answers !
And yes I would expect anyone contributing on WS to have read Gone by Neil Root
Was GF in position as a friend knowing claudia possibly for the longest time and SS of course in a position to be key holder.

My thoughts also. But why that position o_O

Correct me if Im wrong Galloway retired in 2013 and set up Blue Light Investigations and training in march of that year.
Isnt the parts delivery position held while he ran Blue Light;)

I think a lot of people overlook RG had been head of intelligence

I question this also. I don't believe she wouldn't go over and say hello or ask anyone who they were (if she really didn't know the men), unless she had reason not to. For example if she and CL weren't speaking or the relationship between them was strained in some way, or maybe she knew something was brewing and wanted to distance herself, keep herself out of the firing line.
If your close friend was in the pub, had been drinking all day, you noticed enough to say she was 'plastered' and sat with a group of people you didn't know (and therefore possibly CL didn't know either), wouldn't you go over and say hello? Ask others in the pub who they were?

I would have said different things to her that Friday. So that implies they had an interaction with each other at some point. If not verbally perhaps by text.

Remember the text that SC sent to CL on the thurs evening when she didnt turn up. 'Thanks for standing me up'

My choice of message to a no show friend would be
Im at the Nags are you running late?
Is everything OK?
Where are you?

I accept everyone interacts and reacts diferently depending on the situation and the person with whom you are communicating with, but Friday does standout likewise the Monday night all nighter I think CL may have been around a group who like to party hard..
Friday was Chelt Gold Cup, and a few days later St Patricks Day both are significant events for the Irish community, could there be a connection there?

Actually it is near the flat both are in the guildhall area of York as I went to the block of flats JK lived in as well - I literally went EVERYWHERE ha!

You should have hit me up, I could have driven you around! I'm in South Bank now but grew up off Hull Road, not far from Melrosgate and actually lived around the corner from Claudia for a couple of years. I'm York born and bred, lived here my whole life.

I dug up the Case Map, last updated in 2017 so I'm not sure if all links etc are still working but this is it if it is useful to anyone Claudia Lawrence Final - Google My Maps

No it doesn't, not really, not to me. My Mum was manager for a catering supply company that supplied everything from pint glasses to ovens etc to pubs/restaurants and places like the University. My Mum knew everyone... sadly she had a major stroke in January 2009 then developed dementia so I have never been able to ask her questions.

Hardly.... he has access to 99 pieces of the puzzle - there is nothing here but guess work.

@ArcadeFire this is a bit of a long shot as things change over the years..
On your walkabout did you go into Costcutters on Heworth Rd?
I notice in some local shops the security cctv screens are mounted behind the counter visible to the cashiers and sometimes visible to customers.
If you did visit the shop did you notice if any screens were visible..Im particulary interested to know if a view of the front of the shop was visible and the extent of the scope of that view
the cctv camera that caught the male at costcutters was mounted on the left corner of the shop appeared to be in the same place in until Jan 2021 when it was lowered as work was being carried out on what was Quartz Travel, I hoping your visit might have been after the works were completed and the cctv camera was reinstated to its original place.

Just asking out of interest.. I know its a long shot

Someone who was there told me. Didn't know it happened at 13.03 PM. Maybe it was more than once the passionate embraces. AC was also giving CL a lift to work.
