Dan reckons he visited Cyprus 3 times with Claudia, Steve and Robbie say Claudia visited them on two occasions. I guess Dan was misquoted about the 8 visits to the island.

I couldnt find in the article that Robbie Campbell commented on the number of times Claudia visited him. He did say he got to know her when she visited a bar and she was planning a visit to stay with him in April 2009 that to my knowledge was never confirmed as the details of the trip she booked doesnt appear to have been made public. (This was the trip which she had invited Jen King to take with her).
Theres a lot of detail missing about her trips to Cyprus
Were she visited on the island and the people she met when on those trips .

Dan Whitehand who was CL's ex kept in contact with her. I would that police could check if, when and where on the island the 8 other trips took place.
She may had visited the island first with Dan Whitehand or she could have visited it previously and the article is just accounting for their first visit together being in 2004.

Yet in this article in the Mirror newspaper it says that Claudia had booked a holiday only days before she disappeared.
Why didnt she tell Sammons she had already booked a holiday?

Did Steve travel to Cyprus with Claudia and Dan on his 2007 visit to the island or did Claudia and Steve make another trip to the island together in 2007?

Did RC offer to pay for her upcoming holiday/flight because she was going to stay with him?
Did the date of the booking of the holiday/flight coincide with the same dates he was in the Uk picking up the vans?

Steve had friends in the Nags Head he made frequent trips back to the Uk and kept in touch had someone told him Claudia and Jen King had booked a holiday?

When asked what his last text was to Claudia said .. he said he couldnt remember as the police had taken his phone.

But it would be interesting to know what date she booked and payed for the holiday/flight.

Those 2 days would be significant as Monday night was the night she was said to have spent with the mystery boyfriend.

It's not on either, I have no idea. I'm aware she left six months earlier but she suggests they may have known each other.

I listed it in order of events. So at the time they re-examined her house, her car back alley ect..

The detective said some people locally knew Lawrence but have kept their relationship secret and some have deliberately lied about a number of issues concerning their association with the chef.

He said: “I would make a further appeal for those to come forward now and provide these explanations.

“If I reach the point where we believe people continue to obstruct this investigation or assist or cover up for the person or persons responsible, they will be arrested.“Six years have passed since Claudia disappeared. For her loved ones, the pain caused by her absence and the circumstances of her disappearance has not faded. And nor, I assume, has the guilt and knowledge that one or more people have about what happened to this young woman. “

We know new DNA was found and we know arrests were made shortly after this^

So the conclusion is her “friends” were lying imo. It’s my belief the police were probably sitting on the new DNA giving the POI one more chance to come forward before they arrested them.

I did find that sighting interesting.
But could it have been a case of mistaken identity?
On checking out car repair garages in Layerthorpe I found one of the owners in my opinion bore a striking resemblence to Halliwell.
NYP have never disclosed the name of the garage so I havent been able to ascertain if Claudia ever used that garage or knew the owner.

No one said when they saw her speaking to Halliwell, if it was him. The just said that they had seen someone resembling them both, I don't think a date was given. I have seen a picture of the garage guy and on my opinion he resembles him but not exactly, did he drive taxis?

If the witness had seen Claudia and Halliwell previously "asking for change" it was not stated when they were seen. It could have been when he was travelling well before the time or they were not sure of the date.
