No idea regarding garage connection names and regarding that last question I’ve no idea. The consequence of going to prison for a long time would be horrible I think human self preservation is keep quiet, maybe I’m a terrible person, but if you’ve deliberately killed someone I think its different to it being an accident in your frame of mind - I imagine anyway !!!

Is there a connection between Bootham Coachworks and Boothams Removals and Storage Compass House, Common Road, Dunnington, York, North Yorkshire, YO19 5PD ?
I've had a brief search on Companies House but seem to be going round in circles. Haven't had a proper dig, might try again later in the week. A couple of the Google reviews mention Bootham Coachworks is a family business run by Paul and Simon but doesn't mention a surname - I assumed it was Bootham but that's actually the place name. They don't seem to advertise online.

There's probably info staring me in the face but it's Monday night and I'm shattered

Actually they do advertise online, found a post on a local cricket club Facebook page. Surname is Mosley. Too tired to look further tonight sorry

Something is puzzling me, why would Claudia use a body repair/paint shop for a replacement engine?

  • #525
There is no puzzle with that. The garage would just specialise in bodywork repairs etc but still have mechanics fixing regular car problems. I myself have taken my old car to a similar place for a problem with the coil pack

Could Simon be 'Simon' who owned Simons Auto Services in Mansfield road. (The same road as the Horwells yard)

mate of a mate?

The proximity to Mansfield road may be a clue

Coachbuilders manufacture and assemble frames, panels and parts for vehicles such as buses and motor homes.

Motor homes.. could be another clue

I’d think there must of been some connection - yes she has to go somewhere but odd she didn’t use her brother in laws to be…..

I've read bits about Claudia's case here and there since she went missing in 2009 but I've barely scratched the surface really. Before I dive in and read every post right from thread #1, is there anywhere online that sums up what likely happened and the characters involved? I'm going to read all the threads here but I understand speculation isn't allowed and sometimes the carefully worded hints go over my head!

If anyone could point me in the right direction or DM me I'd really appreciate it

I’d be cautious about pm’s and taking pointers - as someone may put a spanner in your thinking.

Honest Question guys:
If you caused the death of Claudia ( or anyone else for that matter ) without meaning to, would you own up and possibly ruin your life and that of your immediate family?

You've got to be very cold blooded to do whatever you did to CL, dumped the body away from any detection for over a decade now and basically keep your head down while doing your day job or being out and about in York.

But then many killers do that pretty comfortably until something happens and they eventually get caught and there's certainly no chance the police are anywhere near cracking this case as they seemed to be in 2014.

Of course seems likely the whole events involved number of people so not like it's just one person which adds to things. Perhaps it was really an accident, person who was there panicked and got some help and it's remained a pact between them ever since.

Just having a look to see what's going on in the thread given I had fatigue from it a while back with some of the implausible theories, very impressed with the commitment of the same posters from when I joined 18 months back. If NYP had this commitment it could've been cracked by now!

I was under the impression NYP know what happened but CPS opinion is that the threshold hasn't been met therefore they won't allow the suspects to be charged? So in effect the suspects are protected by each others silence with no motivation for that to change any time soon. A bit of a stalemate?
