Just thinking over Cortina’s post re would someone have been present whist she called mum and dad. On the evening of the 18th it was reported she spoke to three people on the phone. Her dad , her mum and a friend from Malton who said she wished she had insisted she took a taxi. Anyone know what time that call occurred on the evening of the 18th? Her call with her mum ended at 8.30pm so was her call to her friend after this?
Her call to her friend was earlier. It was in MSM but unable to find link.
The texts started at 18:42 and ended at 19:00.
It is believed that Liz was texting Claudia at the same time that SS an associate from Cyprus was also texting Claudia.
Liz worked at Boots in Malton and they had been schoolfriend together.
She had been a good friend for much longer than those she associated with at Nags head.

It is also important to note that Claudias Mum called Claudia and not the other way around.

On from Cortina’s theory, So a possibility then Is alleyman 7.15pm on the 18th went to Heworth place to pick up what he needed to carry out the deed in a rucksack - returning to the front of Claudias house - knows Claudia, perhaps has had a relationship with Claudia and knows her routine, sits there whilst she is on the phone and then immediately does the deed? Heworth place is a relatively small area - does anyone know of anyone staying/living there that has had a relationship in the past with Claudia ?
If as you say he sits there until she is on phone, this doesn't work as follows:

SS from Cyprus ends texting at 18:59
Alley-man goes to front of her house at 7:15 ish
Claudias speaks with her dad at 8:10
Claudia speaks with her Mum at 8:30

Either a very long wait outside and could he actually hear the phone conversations?
or
he was known by Claudia and she let him in.

Thank you, I’m thinking he is well known to Claudia, a possibility that he lives somewhere in Heworth place - she lets him in. I could never understand PL offering Claudia his car and her turning it down, knowing he was away and wouldn’t need it - perhaps Claudia didn’t want PL visiting to drop the car off if she had “company”

No he would not take the chance of her mentioning his name to her mum or dad !?
My thinking has always been Claudia was by herself while on the phone because imo you would not make small talk ( location location ) while you have a guest there !

I can only speak for myself and that would depend on the guest.
I wouldn't if it was a formal visit but if I was just chilling out with. a good friend and I was talking to my mother on the. phone, I would...maybe the guest was in. the bathroom...making a cup of tea etc.
but I. would talk to my mother if it was a friend...depends. on the nature of the relationship...less likely to do it if I had a hot date....those were the days.

P.M & L.H. Are not suspects

No I wasn't saying they were. I guess I should have added this link though Revealed: Missing chef Claudia's '40 different men'
Before saying we know Claudia was in a relationship previously with at least two attarched men - LH and PM. Helpfully the article also details how Claudia could be secretive around her life, even while using her phone in company. So based on this, and in nothing more than my own opinion, I don't find it difficult to imagine Claudia wouldn't mention a visitor to either parent on the phone, as the article makes it sound like it was normal for her not to divulge who she was communicating with to others.

I was also thinking that Claudia could have been quickly packing her backpack ready for her early start, and if the person who took her was in her home that night, then they would know it was important the backpack was gone to make it appear she left for work.

See this is where I’m confused. The back pack is a deal breaker - or a theory breaker. I think even if as you say she was packing it for work - I cannot see anyone thinking if I take that - they will think she left for work. The absence of her rucksack , lack of any evidence in the home, slippers by the door no sightings on cctv - leads me to think we are missing a crucial piece of the puzzle.

Yes I agree but I do believe the police have some very crucial information they are keeping to themselves perhaps wrongly ? Imo

I have no doubt in my mind, that you are right. I’m thinking they know very well what was happening outside Claudias house on March 18th @ 9.01pm was crucial to her disappearance. Just because her phone was being tracked at certain locations doesn’t mean to say she was with her phone. And I think this is the problem. When you think sus A’s phone maybe in proximity of Claudias phone but Claudia could be elsewhere - proves nothing. This is only an example and not a fact.

I think the police must have some. crucial evidence...I know identifying alley man is key, but it wouldn't be much use without more evidence...no remains, as far as we know no d n a etc....sorry my computer keeps typing dan....to be. honest, I haven't even figured out what alley man is supposed to be doing....maybe they've interviewed him and he denied being there, but even that couldn't clinch anything

I still think that part of the plan was to make it look as though shed left for work and I think that at least the report of her seen arguing with a man was planted.

I also think. its possible she was strangled from behind. with. the lead from her hair straighteners...hey vixey....but I think its more likely she was heavily sedated.

I don't buy. the idea that alley man was just looking to see if she was in....he wouldn't know if she was alone

I struggle to make a rational arguement for what alley man is doing both times. I can come up with theories but there are always problems with him doing the same thing twice for such small amounts of time.

I think along the same lines as you on all of this.

I think it’s possible he lives in Heworth place and is just going back and forth to his property - simple as. It’s part of the puzzle which identifies him - we are not privy to where he goes for a evidential reason, (in my opinion) similarly at the front - I’m sure he can be seen at the front hiwrver we are not privy to that either. I think possibly she gets in to the suv but is obscured in some way. Her phone is maybe then dropped in a struggle, she thinks she’s going somewhere overnight so takes her stuff.

Probably she never told her parents about a present visitor, and therefore her parents were caught completely by surprise, when Claudia's many liaisons and friendships were outed. Just like me (in the past!), the parents must have thought: when, for God's sake, should she have had all these friendships/datings/nights out? Their "shy" daughter was seemingly relaxing at home after a shift and had nice telephone calls with them both (perhaps each not knowing, that the other parent also called often). As a mother, I would assume, my daughter is viewing her TV program, talking with me and goes to bed afterwards, because she would have her next shift early in the morning. I wouldn't expect my daughter, have nights out after calmly having a call with me and would end up sitting on the pavement somewhere in the middle of the night/rather morning, crying - or some of these occurrences.

If allyman lives in the area he would have been seen many times prior and after the incident !
As Driscoll says he’s probably not from the area and he is trying to speak / contact Claudia before she flys away to Cyprus! Imo
And I would have thought we are seeing the best possible picture the police have of him !
And you would come forward if you have nothing to hide !
Driscoll speaks on the Mckintry documentary !
