Very confused about all this, the woman in green was from the 19th and cold case say they have proof of life after this?

IIRC the collage posted by Tri Lambda Delta was predominantly images from the afternoon of the 18th. I suspect it is these images to which NYP were referring when they said they had proof of life later (texts and calls on the evening of the 18th).

Yes no problem, early in my investigation I did wonder if the footage could have been Claudia (alleyman) when you break down the footage into frames - there are a number of frames when the person appears female. However when you view it as a whole and in context with additional footage it’s a man. When I looked at the microsite I found some evidence which I thought may be inaccurate - I was able to confirm this with cold case. The microsite is gone now of course.

When I reflect I absorbed lots and lots of information in the first few years, however now there’s rarely anything new to discover. When I look at WS - it’s the same someone new starts going over what’s new to them, it can be good because you can look at fresh perspectives, though it can be frustrating flogging dead horses like Haliwell, Cartwright etc etc
Cold case are busy people stretched, so time is a premium, however I’m sure they’d welcome something which may help them solve this mystery

Hi all.
As mentioned before I’m new here so apologies again if I’m going over old ground or rambling but I just wanted to share a few thoughts on some of the information we know and see if anyone has any thoughts.

Cctv:
-Alley man surely does look suspicious. I can’t work out if he has a rucksack on in both clips but he definitely does to me on the footage on the 18th. I did ponder if it could be CL (taking rubbish out to the bins in the alley or something mundane) but it really does look to be a male figure.
It does appear that he is checking up on someone of something. Potentially checking movements and activity.
-The footage on the 19th bothers me. Mainly due to uncertainties relating to time. The a.m footage showing alley man states 5:07, Ray Galloway said on crimewatch that it was 5:50 and the daylight would also support this. Looking back at daylight times from that date, nautical twilight was 4:52, civil twilight 5:33 and sunrise 6:09. I see this footage as being between 5:33 and 6:09.
-The footage on the 19th at the melrosegate shops/post box appears to be much earlier than the footage of alley man that morning. To me it looks like the sunlight is coming through in the east/south direction of the video, this time would be between 4:52 and 5:33. I believe the footage of the 2 dark figures walking south down Melrosegate and then of the man walking north towards CL house are in chronological order, though clearly some time missing between. I did ponder if the 2 dark figures walking towards the direction of the university were CL and Alley man (or another perp) following? However if the cctv is chronological then these 2 figures could bare witness to the man walking North, smoking a cigarette with his left hand as the cctv shows. Is this the man the witness saw at 5:35 arguing with a woman a short distance away at Melrosegate bridge? Did he lay in wait for Claudia knowing her movements? Was he tipped off about her movements by alley man if I’m incorrect and the time of him being at CL’s is correct at 5:07?
-The breaking car footage seems accurate time wise if I’m correct relating to the daylight. However if Ray Galloway is correct and alley man was actually seen at 5:50 this is only 8 minutes after the car is seen breaking at 5:42 Are the 2 connected? Could this car be alley man’s or a vehicle he was in? (Apologies, more questions that answers here!)!

-The sink appeared to have 2 sets of the same crockery. What to me looked like 2 bowls with a fork in each, 2 potential wine glasses and 2 tumblers (stacked). Was she not alone the evening of the 18th and used the early night excuse to try and ensure she wasn’t bothered.
-It was stated the bed was made. Did she even sleep in it? Did she at some point go to someones house locally (potentially picked up and pre-arranged) to stay over, taking her clothes for the next day and straightners to get ready for work at theirs?
-A toothbrush was in the kitchen sink. Did she intend to pack this too in her bag. A makeup mirror can be seen in one of the photos by the sink. Perhaps she touched up, packed her straighteners and forgot to put the toothbrush in and went away for the night unbeknown to anyone.

It really is baffling and the above are just some of my thoughts. Apologies as they offer more questions that answers. I hope that one day her family get the closure they deserve.

With respect They have clarified it for me, we’ve chatted about alleyway man, along with various parts of Claudias last known movements. I suggest anyone in any doubt about the evidence - check with the team - forget Facebook and asking Tommy tuppence hapenny as they are barking up the wrong trees.

Checked with the 'team' they no longer reply to me. Like with others they reply only when it suits them.

It’s possible she spent yet another night with her mystery boyfriend could even be at his place of work !

The Melrosegate bridge witness has said he witnessed the man and woman on the 18th of March not 19th so that can be discounted

If anything, the vehicle behind it is closer to the front door of 46. Also finding my attention increasingly drawn to the high top transit type van parked outside number 37 with its lights on. Am I imagining a figure walking along the outside (driver’s side) of it from back to front and then bending down as if to look at something low down on the front?

Curious that the Astra van and Ranger were the focus of appeals, but not the car and the Transit van.

Someone on here already asked cold case and they were told Claudia wasn't sighted on any cctv at all on the 19th of March

I, for what’s it worth think, they have done a tremendous job on this case and there won’t be any ‘ I told you so ‘ when the case is solved .

The transit is of interest because the crew picking up transits from Scotland did pass by York - did they pass through?
