At it first on Google overhead - you will see where the police searched if you drive past where the police searched heading towards pocklington about 100 yards further on there’s a little Brook - just before on the left there’s a foot path which takes you to a couple more lakes - one has a very old what looks like a windmill but it’s actually a wind pump - eerie structure. There’s some shooting land there and also a stables if you walk to the end of the lane. On a social media post - the stables owner was alleged to have had an suv similar to the one seen outside Claudias on the evening of the 18th - can’t give you a link because I don’t think social media posts qualify on the tos. I urge sleuths to walk it - nothing ventured as they say

If person B had been a stranger to CL, why should B have offered to do such a job? Why should have CL trust a stranger (B), who knocks on her door and warns her of a severe threat?
Which threat could it have been: abduction? murder?
Why should person A have known of a dangerous threat? The perps wouldn't have talked about something really bad in his presence, one can assume. If person A belongs to the inner circle, why would he have wanted to warn CL?
I'm trying to brainstorm, nothing more.
ETA: If someone wanted to warn her and he was able somehow, one could imagine, that CL in a flash disappeared of her own and since is indeed living her new life abroad somewhere.

It looks planned, and if it was, I'd guess they covered disposal. if it was just spur then a body is hot property, and it could very well be discoverable. most of the murders in the media with similar features to Claudias - the body is never far from the murder scene - wherever that may have been!

Osman warning, only if she was part of an undercover operation - it is possible given who her dad was - seems unlikely - was she that kind of girl, given her rogues gallery associations?

I would have thought she was in an ideal situation ( from the police point of view ) to work as an undercover person!
But if so this does not necessarily mean the persons she was investigating harmed her !

It's a bit off the beaten track though. I'm no expert on carrying a dead body but it's not something you can carry far. There must be some vehicle access nearby to be a viable deposition site, moo

This is exactly my point - if you look at the site of the police search and then look at this other location - very close by - its much more accessible - a track down by the side of the stables takes you straight to the wind pump lake and surrounding shooting land. I think if you follow the case then it's good to get a feel for the areas of interest. Personally, having looked, and weighing it up I can't see a perp leaving a body for a dog walker or angler to come upon it easily so I have discounted these sites. Still worth a look. It's a bit of needle in a haystack - unless you have specific info - you cannot justify the resource. There is the army training land close by and also the land between Warthill as you travel up towards Bridlington - up the hill which is densely wooded. I have played it over in my mind "what would I do faced with a body" either in Heworth or at the university. I would be looking at DR - where did he grow up, does he have any hobbies - fishing walking which would give him inspiration for a disposal site.

Why do police issue threat to life notices?​

They are used when there is intelligence of the threat, but there is not enough evidence to justify the police arresting the potential murderer.

In 2017, the police in England and Wales issued more than 776 Osman warnings or “threat to life” notices.

The figure was up by 14 percent on the previous year.

The Metropolitan police issued 24 notices in 2013 but in 2017 it issued 425.

What do they tell death threat victims?​

Osman warnings are issued if police have intelligence of a real and immediate threat to the life of an individual.

Police officers will visit you at home to inform you of the potential danger.

They advise you to change your schedule, be on the lookout for suspicious activity and sometimes even suggest temporarily moving home.

Carrying a body would be difficult, but how about transporting it in a wheelbarrow?. I have no idea how viable that idea is though,having never had to dispose of a body.

If you’ve not put her there - you’ve no worries. I’m thinking it was planned - more than 1 perp - so disposal is going to be 100% no trace. I can never see this solved based on finding a body, rucksack or phone - they are long gone. I know we all have thoughts of the magic moment of finding the rucksack - it’s a pipe dream. The only way this will be solved is by finding that nugget of info which leads to a trial
