Do we know if CL ever undertook work or worked as an escort or what could reasonably be construed as such ? This is a legitimate question and not an accusation or victim blaming or casting aspersions on her character- it’s based upon the number of men immediately involved with CL around the time of her disappearance
It has been suggested on this thread that she was an escort but again its speculation-My view is that she had a demanding early shift job and escorts usually sleep during the day.

Is it known at all if CL was a recreational drug user ?
Not ever discussed. She may have had a drink problem though and recently switched from drinking Cider to Vodka

Re the sighting of the person/s in and around CL garden
Were they identified?
Is it known what they were doing?
What was all around CL house in 2009 and what suggestions have been made as to what they may have been doing?
It was never declared if they were identified but soon after showing the CCTV publicly one of POIs AC was arrested and this followed that 3 further POIs were arrested.
There is much speculation around what these people were doing, they didn't have long enough to get to Claudias back door let alone open it and so the current consensus is that they were "Watching" "Looking out" or perhaps picking something up / dropping something off-A key, Drugs etc from the area. They may have been accessing A car or their own car.

I should mention that there were 3 CCTV cameras observing this area (2 not used to show footage that could have revealed far more)

There was a lane at the rear of Claudias house and access could be made to nags head Car Park. Access could also be made into or from terraced houses in Heworth Place from this lane. It is believed that one of POIs owned one of these terraced houses and one of the other POIs may have been staying in one?

Was CL mobile phone ever recovered?
Was a mast triangulation ever done that we are aware of?
Do we know if the investigation team looked into all the users of mobile phones in the immediate area that she disappeared from by using the data from the nearby mast ?
Mast triangulation very immature in 2009 and so they could only pinpoint last Explicit disconnection within a 9 mile radius of York University at 12:10 on 19th March 2019. You may know more about if they could have triangulated this-Phone never found but interesting about why it was "Turned off" at that time?

Dont know if they looked at users phone records- I would expect that they looked at POIs records though.

But even back then the ability to recover text messages and other data was available
I wonder if this was done

Thank you for your apology and very sincere it is
You are right above police also having tunnel vision
Ray Galloway didn’t retire early
He joined when I did and you did a 30 year career so I joined 1988 and was eligible to retire 2018 ( if I hadn’t have already done so through injury)
So he merely exercised his right to go
Without rubbishing a colleague let’s just say that he had some shortcomings!
I agree with what you say about CL mum not assisting and it reminds me of another hi profile case where mum refused to answer all 49 questions put to her in trying to find her ALLEGEDLY missing 3 year old daughter.
It could be innocent reasons but it sure does make you wonder why they don’t want to help. I would like to hear your theory as to what you think has happened here and why but obviously be careful about being open to libel
I don’t understand the threats and being warned off - by who and why ? What is really believed to be going on here?
I admit that even reading your blog which is truly excellent , it’s still a lot to work through and work out coming in at this stage.... forgive me if I ask questions already asked.
Thank you for having me onboard

I think it may have been but as you know and why its done-Police were quite economical with information they released to protect prosecution evidence Etc,

It’s really interesting that the elderly neighbor said that he saw CL being bundled into a car
Do we know when this was ? Was he referring to a time period prior to her disappearance or at the time of her disappearance?
Do we know what time of day ? The car involved? Description of the person doing it? Male or female? Did CL scream out ? Was it put out in the pres for witnesses to come forward as I can’t believe that the only witness was an elderly gentleman
Did the gentleman see the perpetrator? Has he seen him previously? Was there CCTV? How quickly did the police respond to this sighting?
From the way it has been reported it suggested that this was an earlier episode and no further detail was provided. Here is the press article:

Who is it? Newly released CCTV shows suspicious figure near Claudia's home | YorkMix

Thanks @Popejohn3 I do feel that this release is so that more people may come forward and point finger at one of POIs so as to strengthen Police evidence.
I put that up from the bbc 2019 in answer to one of Angleterre’s question

Years ago I read about Karen Stevens "visions". She allegedly asked the police if they could put her in contact with CL family about it, but it just said the police were considering her request. Christine Hamlett also wrote things of interest. If only the Police would follow them up I feel that these insights may hold the key.

I looked at this one and she also gave a description of the person responsible. What I found interesting is that this was quite soon after Claudia went missing:- Psychic: Claudia is in an isolated wood - the description of the person - “I kept picking up this bloke, a skinny, dark-haired guy with high cheekbones and a sallow complexion. His eyes were quite far apart and he had a pointy chin."

Ring any bells?

I live in the York postcode area and I reported something that may be connected or may be quite innocent, but I believe it was disregarded.
were you the witness to the taxi/change for phone box?

As I've only just joined Websleuths, Ive not read all the posts on this thread. Has accidental death ever been suspected? as opposed to something more sinister? What are peoples views on - If eg someone was walking to work early in the morning and was knocked down and killed by a driver who was still intoxicated from the night before, and the driver relied on having to drive for his/her living
I think its Death by Dangerous driving, plus failure to report, plus unlawful burial. Made it worse if this was the case.

Very possible indeed .
But that would be man slaughter no ?
No. The first would be a driving offence (currently max 14 years under current sentencing, but I think the law has changed since 2009), as would failure to report.

Preventing the lawful burial of a body would be the worst offence, maximum sentence - life imprisonment (according to wiki).
