She did also go to some places you’d expect someone of her age to go to. Dusk, Vudo.Is there a link between the three landlords I wonder? The Nags, Vudo and The Acomb?

Did she live with her ex in Acomb? Before she moved to Heworth?
I think that Claudia used to frequent a nightclub called Dusk but there were likely to be more

@Officer Dibble
Claudia Lawrence-Who was she and Who took her?

It's not private and I update it at least daily based upon any new facts or any corrections that Sleuths made.
Interestingly it is getting attention from a particular few people on facebook that I am looking into also.
I know who they are
Happy for you to challenge and correct any of these facts at any time Dibble. We are getting quite a bit of attention which is positive-Analytics of Blog attached..

I learnt a few things I didn't know! Thanks

I see the Acomb aka Clockhouse has had a Coral betting shop attached to the pub since at least 2008. That will have been popular with CLs horse-racing acquaintances.

Claudia's long term boyfriend may have been a dealer who went nuts when he discovered Claudias secret fling with a cop

Good point

Perhaps Mark William Thomas could make for the first time a useful documentary on"Claudia Lawrence-Her Friends and the suspects".
That might provide some traction and movement?
Yes come on Mark if you're reading this. I suspect there would a lot of "no comment" and "stay away from this pub" responses though.

Agree with this theory. Also it must have become obvious when they both appeared together in public that SCs grief at the loss of her friend came across as genuine and heart breaking while JK presented as more clinical. An observation which won't have been missed by many and was commented on in CL forums.
Take a look at these interviews from March 2019 and see what you think:

So ten years on SC is in her 50's and JK is in her early thirties. What age were they and CL when she went missing?

Claudia may have gone missing on the evening of March 18, as she did not answer any texts after 8.30pm. This was unusual for Claudia, who sent up to 1,000 messages a month. Tracing missing Claudia Lawrence's footsteps five years on: Mum's quest to find daughter

Do we read anything into her 'prolific' texting habits? Is 250 texts a week or 33 texts a day unusual?

Are you suggesting she did sex texts for part-time extra work? It was a thing back then (and might still be). Or were you wondering about something else?

Yes he is a bit too Royal Family for this type of dirty hands investigation

Yes and I'm hoping that our new member and resource @Brandysnapblue can review this conversation
I find JKs body language compelling
@MajorLang you may want to give us your analysis of body language in due course....
The observations made below are my interpretation based on what was said:
In terms of language, I will start by noting the use of the word 'friend' by both women when speaking about Claudia. While SC used the term 'friend' once (and that was to say she and Claudia saw each other 4 times a week "which is probably more than most normal friends would see each other"), JK used "friend" 8 times. This might suggest that JK feels the need to stress her close connection to CL. It appears to be used as a description when (presumably) she was asked "tell me about your memories of CL" in the absence of providing actual reflections from their shared past. Perhaps over the years, JK has learned to reduce the amount of information provided lest it is 'wrongly' interpreted? This gives the impression of distancing herself from the subject. On the other hand, SC prefers to demonstrate her closeness with Claudia through a very personal anecdote. Perhaps she and CL had a more emotional bond?
SC spoke of the long term impact of her loss through having frequent dreams about her and Claudia together, like old times, and wanting to stay in those dreams because "that world was nice and comfortable and the world I'm in now isn't". There was no sense of embarrassment in talking in this way and she spoke of dreams giving her comfort. But she doesn't sugar coat either.
JK spoke of Claudia in relation to how CL had personally supported her: "great", "loyal", "she welcomed me into her home when I needed help", "kind" and how she (JK) was "petrified" when she went missing. "I couldn't believe something could happen to someone so good" - then, perhaps realising what she had said adds, by way of compensation, "I mean she's not a saint!"
SC is very open about her thoughts on the lack of information about CLs disappearance/murder: "Unbelievable", "can't comprehend", "really frustrated", "not one clue, not one piece of evidence, how is that even possible?" JK doesn't openly criticise or challenge the lack of progress. Given her experiences in 2015/16, she has already made it known she would prefer the police got the right person so instead talks about having hope that someone would come forward with evidence "to draw it to whatever resolution it comes to".... I just want to know where my friend is.... As long as I'm alive she will be alive because I will never stop thinking about her".

What stands out to me is how polarised the 2 women are in terms of their outlook. SC looking backwards and wanting it to be the way it used to be in her happy, comfortable world with CL. JK just wanting it to be resolved so she can move on with her life. I feel her last sentence is added in an attempt to bring warmth to a fairly objective interview.
Like I said, I don't know either of these women. They are obviously different people and there is a 20 yr age gap which will have a bearing on their outlook. SC was a single woman like CL who knew nobody and bonded with her because of their similar circumstances in Heworth. They were friends first, with JK becoming involved because of her job in the pub. She was at that time just 24 but her life is now at a different point and perhaps she feels her future is blighted until this case is resolved. SC has lost her companion and since she too can't move on (doesn't want to, in some respect), the loss of CL from her world has had a significantly greater impact on her life. I understand from reading an article in the Times, that SC has left Heworth and no longer has contact with any of her former 'friends'. I also thought it was interesting that the 2 women were interviewed separately.

Well... you never revealed before that this was one of your strengths @Yozzer but an excellent t analysis of the two Friends.
As you suggest I will respond later with my view of any body language. As I'm sure @Brandysnapblue will in the written word.

We could well then have a pretty good analysis of the two.
Excellent

What of her other friends? She must have had other friends before moving to Heworth. Did she go to college or university? School friends? Friends she works with? We know of the two friends (SC, JK) she met in the last few years at the local and the blokes, then some other blokes in Acomb. The blokes in Manchester. There must have been more? Were JK and SC the main interest of the investigation and the media because they were the most recent relationship? Or for other reasons?

There was a pal from Malton who worked as a pharmacist

I always thought, JK had much to lose, if CL got in her (and lover's) way .....

@RachelZachary
Liz Holder from Malton

Claudia’s friend Liz Holder, was also texting Claudia. Liz, a pharmacy technician at Boots, in Malton, said she felt terrible that she had not done more to persuade Claudia to get a taxi to work. (Claudia’s car was in a garage being repaired at the time)
Liz worked with Claudia at The Kings Head in Malton and had known Claudia for 12 Years.

She said: “”She texted me on the night she went missing. We sent about three or four messages and the last one was at about 7pm”.

So Claudia worked at The Kings Head before moving to Heworth? Surely she’d know a few people from there? It just feels like so much information about Claudia and her life is missing and I don’t know why.

Any other relationships/info we know of to add to the list below?

Paddy McGinty, Norton, had an affair with Claudia when she was 20, for 10 Years - ended in 2004.

2004 - New job at the university and moving from Malton to York?

2004-2006 Relationship with Daniel Whitehand - from Newcastle - holidays to Cuba

2006/2007 Affair with Lee Horwell, York

Nov 2007 - moved into house on Heworth Road

Hi @RachelZachary You are absolutely right
Fancy having a go at filling in the missing "life" So far no one seems to think it is material but you never know?
