Can I ask what everyone's thoughts are on possible reasons for CL going missing are.
Jealousy? Revenge? Accident? Something else?
Would be interesting to know what angles we are all coming at this from.

This is an excellent question.
I would go for altercation that went horribly wrong.Possibly due to a misunderstanding of the importance of a relationship and or possible pregnancy.

I'm not sure exactly what I believe, but I don't feel CL's disappearance was planned (by person or persons unknown). If I had to be more specific, I would be on the side of resentment. A beautiful young woman, care free... Can turn heads in more ways than one

EDIT - I do not believe that CL is still alive. I also believe that although the initial confrontation may have happened between her and one other, there are many others involved in keeping CL "disappeared".

What are everyone's thoughts as to when CL disappeared?

Please follow these questions with your own answers first !

My apologies.

I believe she disappeared on the evening of the 18th March and not on her way to work.

What do you believe happened?
One option I can't tell, would have to do with something like "pulling CL out of traffic" because of her lifestyle. It would be an educational measure, so-to-say, and she would still be alive then. Joan would be right: Claudia is somewhere "locked up". (Idk though, how to manage that over 10 years ...)
The second option is anger and murder because of a liaison with a man in another relationship. Murder perhaps done by the other woman (partner helped to conceal) or by the man himself.

I'm not sure, what to think exactly.

Between her last call and her non-presence at the Uni kitchen. From home or on her way to Uni. So, much room for maneuver, unfortunately.

No need to apologise...you are asking some very important questions

I also think she probably disappeared on the evening of 18th March

Regarding her missing items... her chef outfit for example.
I always wondered if she left home with these items on 18th March, in the knowledge she wouldn't be back home before her shift the following morning or if she didn't have these items with her when she returned home (after work) on the 18th March.
I had wondered if her Mother may have been mistaken regarding speaking to Claudia in the evening of the 18th March, but surely this would have been verified by phone records?

She is on cctv at various locations going home from work with her (subsequently missing) backpack so I have little doubt she took her kit home on the 18th.
Re her mum being mistaken, she recalled they discussed Location, Location, Location which was on tv as they spoke. This could easily be verified and remember, not as much 'catchup tv' in 2009.

I've just considered something else relating to this...
If we know for certain that Claudia and her Mother spoke on the evening of the 18th March, was the call made to Claudia's home phone or mobile phone?
If it was to her mobile phone, then it's possible that Claudia never went home from work on 18th March?

Thank you for that.
If they were discussing a tv programme, then Claudia was somewhere with a tv, but it does not necessarily mean that she was at home, would you agree?
