Claudia Lawrence police in new van probe
there seems to be a thing for suspect white vans and attempted abductions in york. It’s one of those things that appears in the news at least once or twice a year and then nothing more is ever heard about it. In one recent instance it was a false story, yet spread over all the local SM pages until police put a stop to it publicly.

In relation the the actual report to the local newspaper by the jogger though can you remember if the paper ever revealed a discription of the man in the van, all the reports I have seen have just mentioned the jogger being accosted by a man in a white van with no mention of the mans discription?

The area is dramatically mixed, it changes from very affluent areas to council housing. However York is a relatively safe place and I think most people walk around even late at night, early mornings alone without fear. Those roads always have traffic and taxis running on them and that will add to the feeling of being safe walking around.

Additionally on a differing slightly morbid note. If someone was transported in a Car while alive to a scrapyard and then disposed inside a car; then what would the process be?. Would a car be picked up by a Crane with a Magnet; and then dropped from a height into a type of Baler/Crushing machine

Because if this was the case, does this not have relevance to a type of 'Freudian slip' which stated that someone hoped Claudia was dead before she hit the floor. The statement seems holistically strange; it was to specific and out of context. It suggests its knowledge, rather than a suggestion or theory

There was a car transporter waiting in Heworth Road at 5:07 am with hazards on but police have denied it.
Why go so far to a scrap yard when one of Claudias exes had his own scrap yard in Mansfield Street less than 5 minute away ??

He was not involved perhaps?

I completely agree, but they aren’t deserted streets, or quiet residential streets which makes people generally feel safer when walking around alone in the dark.

It's clear to me that we are getting close to the anniversary of Claudias missing as there are many new socks joining the Websleuths forum

MajorLang; i may be wrong,but i'm sure it was in your research on the medium blog which mentioned the Living Room clock had the batteries removed and the time was 9:30. Was this a factual piece of information stated by the authorities. Does anyone know if the batteries were taken out by a family member after Claudia went missing. Because; if that's how her Father and the Pub Landlord found the room, then it is another strange occurrence within the case. It would seem a perpetrator/s has been in her house and is either trying to 'throw people' or the perpetrator/s are mocking the authorities. Myself and my partner also wondered if Claudia had done it as a clue for people, because she knew she was in bother.

Was it a car transporter, was it a road sweeper, was it a brewery delivery lorry, was it a waste management truck collecting from the school or was it a public waste bin collection (sited next to the bus shelter)? we can only see flashing lights reflecting in a window

Did the butteries simply needed replacement? The clock stops you check it you establish the batteries are spent.
No point in putting them back .

If it was Construction workers that took her, it allows for the possibility of a Building Contractor and University staff that both have a need to keep something quiet. On a parallel to the Catholic/Protestant collaborative possibility; there could be a catalyst and ''Flag of Convenience'' between people ''up top'' in the University circles and a Building contractor. Has fraud or a 'dodgy deal' been exposed. Once again; i'm sure it was MajorLang's excellent research that put forward a ''strange coincidental'' piece of behavior in the Council Chambers . Does her work colleague know more than he's letting on (David Oxley?). Is the mystery Boyfriend a 'top Whig' in University circles;and is that why he only come forward with information 1 year later. Did guilt and duty get to him

However; there are Building contractors,Building Foundations, University Directors, A missing University member of staff and a connected person who runs a legalized Tax evasion company. Claudia could of been told or discovered information from 3 differing parties

I do not think its a 'snatcher',serial killer or opportunist. It's local and people who know her; a ''call to arms''.

Claudia's friends would be exemplified by people like Jen King and Suzie Cooper. My comment was made specifically made to people close to her; in the manner that their the people hurting most

I'm sure her wider circle of people she knew will be upset. But the main issue is finding whose done it and providing closure for:

1. Her Parents
2 Her Sister
3 Her wider family
4 Her close friends
5 Her wider circle of people she knew


And to over ride all the above; is to provide justice for Claudia

Unless this was a clock that displayed the date and time the clock could well have stopped days/weeks before she went missing. So many people with mobile phones they use their mobile phones to check the time set alarms etc so a home clock is not a neccessity.
Was it a chiming clock? ...I received a chiming clock as a gift but after a while the chiming got on my nerves, because it did not have a switch to turn chimer off I removed the batteries.

Unless this was a clock that displayed the date and time the clock could well have stopped days/weeks before she went missing. So many people with mobile phones they use their mobile phones to check the time set alarms etc so a home clock is not a neccessity.

Fair point; but surely people take Clock's off a wall if they do not work or there irritating. Iv'e never left a Clock on a wall if it does not work or iv'e ran out of batteries to get it to work. In both incidences iv'e taken the Clock down and throw it; or put it back up after iv'e purchased batteries . Claudia's family could of removed the batteries after Claudia disappeared.

However; if this is not the case, it could point to a perpetrator or perpetrators removing the batteries when they were sneaking through the house because the chiming startled them. Similarly;it could of been irritating if Claudia was being held inside the room against her will, and being interrogated. Or like i said earlier; a type of arrogance towards the authorities . Similarly; it could of been a Trophy of the time when something happened....and stopped just like the time did

The time could be just a coincidence but 9:30 pm is one of the possible key times something could of happened

I can’t see this clock thingy going anywhere unless the clock batteries were also the power source for a hidden camera INSIDE the clock !!
