This is the channel four programme that I wanted to watch again but it has been edited .They left out the bit where JK says “ he started it and he has to finish it”
It was meant to be 30 minutes long !

Can you explain in what context she said “ he started it and he has to finish it”

It was a strange comment by SC and highlights how deeply it affected her.
But as you pointed out with a dead battery how could it operate in this way.
I am not an expert in telecoms but what I do know is that the voicemail system is often cloud based and so when the phone is switched off, the user is engaged on another call or the phone is powered down, battery gone. The voicemail solution will still take the messages until such time as the phone plan expires.
It may be that Police and Claudia's family decided to keep her phone plan alive and so her account would still be capable of taking messages.
It is possible that there is an upper limit to the number of messages held and in many cases the voicemail only holds onto messages for a maximum period of time.
I also believe that you can access voicemail remotely. (Without the phone if you have a passcode)
Telecoms companies and police would be able to do this for as long as the account was mai TES. Phone companies may also have been able to gain access to voicemail accounts for as long as they want to.

Had she been watching mastermind "I've started so I will finish"? As she isn't the smartest frog in the box and unlikely to ever star in the show.
Was she diverting attention away from herself?
JK is known to throw out audacious statements in the press as well as this one:
"We will have to put Claudia back together again"
"She's a knob but she's our knob"
"I hope she was gone before she hit the ground"

It's possible that she was teasing the media or even letting the real perps know that at any time she could blow the whistle?

I would be very surprised if she didn't know who the guilty people are or even if she was guilty herself IMO.
Does she also have a hold on Peter Lawrence? Was Peter part of the Nags crowd as he met Claudia there often-Was he seeing one of Claudia's friends-Did the Nags have something on him?

Her and SC were only friends of CL for a short period compared with other friends and so why do we always keep hearing from these two "Media Celebs"?

IMO There is something very "Huntley" about some of Claudias friends.

The "he started it he can finish it" quote could be a reference to the cop who suggested that Claudia had a wild lifestyle away from her friends. It's up to the cops to explain her lifestyle now and solve the mystery.

Her friends said a lot more than is show in this clip .
Billy Bozhng camera gets very close indeed to people’s eyes and I believe this was done on purpose in order to shed light if they were lying !
One in particular keeps avoiding the camera by looking down on the floor .in the clip above she talks of someone !
But they cut out her saying ‘ he started it he has to finish it’
By that I think she is expecting a confession !
But I’m sure others will find it suspicious!
As you all know by now I happen to think her friends are innocent.

Yes like some naughty news papers were caught out reading dead people’s messages not long agob!

I think Jk simply like others had her own suspicions but that’s it !

Good thinking I never thought she was referring to the policeman !

Yes solve the mystery please ...you have all the pieces now.We know the virus must be slowing things down a bit

Some interesting comments below this clip of the same documentary, especially from good old Rodney. A bit of a Marmite figure but say what you like about RB, he didn't miss a trick.

Also of interest, here is the longer 23 minute edited version again - apparently the original was 30 minutes. Here we have JK talking about texting CL. It sounds as if she is re-running her last communication with CL that day. What do others think? Was she talking about times in the past generally or was she describing events on 18th March? It is the way she says 'I think' as if trying to remember details of a specific event.
See 15m 51s on the link below

"I think I'd text saying I was upset about something...just... throughout the day she was texting me saying oh...you know...'cheer up and everything'll be fine' and texting me late at night saying 'are you feeling any better?'...just...so supportive...

Do you think they are innocent because you know who is guilty?
Are you assuming that they are innocent?
Do you know them and have they given you a solid and indisputable alibi as to their movements for a period of at least 24 hours in either side of her disappearance?
Are you absolutely certain that they are not involved in organising or funding a "hit" on Claudia?

If you cannot respond to these then your words are cheap.

Suzy Cooper also believes that her friends are innocent but when I posed the exact same questions to her she disappeared down a rabbit hole.

I wonder if her friends' opinions shifted position from their early comments made in 2009 to later comments (including 2010) made when further information about CL and others had come to light? There was most definitely a negative shift in attitude in 2015 following the arrest of the 4 local men, whereas in 2014 when MS was arrested by the new team, the response to this development from friends (JK in particular) was very positive. The 2015 onwards interviews displayed a different side to JK IMO.

Almost as though her friends were off the hook when it appeared that police suspicions were around snelling.
Was Snelling framed and then when the plan backfired did they then start to feel vulnerable?

Well we know MS and his home were investigated in 2011 and his later arrest followed information provided by pub regulars in the NH including one who reported that he gave CL regular lifts and was once seen in an 'embrace' with her at the pub. Now who would have known about those morning lifts?

For anyone interested in looking at the footage of the alleyman in detail from the clip attached
Its very revealing.
Because you are being asked if you recognise the alleyman its deliberately frozen for a few seconds giving you time for your eyes to adjust (I always look at these clips at night in a dark room without light its a good tip when looking for detail)
In fact I havent cleaned them up this is just whats showing. Ive added shot still shots for anyone who are viewing on mble.
One things for sure is that Heworth Place Limes Court and Heworth Road was extremely busy at 7.15pm 18th March. From what I could see 3-4 people crossed the main road and at east 3 of these would have been behind the alleyman as he walked down Heworth Rd towards the Heworth Place turning.
When the alleyman is returning he pauses because a person has entered The Heworth Place turning and passes him on his inside.I couldnt quite get a frame of this person because they have been blurred out, their movement and the brick wall doesnt help but I followed and they continued to walk on out of frame in the HeworthPlace direction.
There are also two other people standing on the edge of the pavement hes walking so they would have seen him.
Theres a group of at least 3 people nearer to the limes court building which would also have seen him.
And 1 person on the opposite pavement ( left of the cctv camera as you look at the screen) they have just turned into the limes from Heworth Road.
If alleyman was a local man then I would think a number of these people would have been able to identify him.

Helloo MajorLang can you hear me I’m afraid I’m down here with SC in the same rabbit hole !

This figure of a female crossing the road looks very much like Claudia to me
I agree. Looks like a person carrying a bag over their shoulder, not a ruck said more like a satchel with the flap that goes over The top to me and long dark hair ...

Hello all, just like to add Claudia carries her rucksack on the left shoulder in uni cctv. I have been reading over old threads as much as possible to catch up, possibly wasted much time barking up the wrong tree. I have a question in regards to a Facebook ss, does anyone know what the star represents?

Hello @Vixey and nice to hear from a different Sleuth. I believe the star was given to Suzie cooper by the administrator of that FB page as a "badge of honour" or indicates she is an administrator or moderator. I could be wrong and so It would be good to hear from others?
But what is more revealing about this posting on FB by Cooper is that it was posted on 19th March but Suzie didn't know she was missing until 20th??? also it was 10 days before police announced they believed she had been murdered ????
