I believe Neil Root lives in London and you can’t expect him to come up to Yorkshire and write a book for nothingAssuming sufficient copies are/have been sold it might have been a better idea to offer the profits/royalties £ as a decent reward for information. I don't understand why a charity has been relied on to offer a reward when family and friends could have organised a fund raising event which could possibly have raised a substantial amount.

Do you get a cut if the royalties Pope. Seing that you sub edited so much out?View attachment 252667 I think it is worth getting hold of a copy if anything as you can see by the sticker 35% of the author’s royalties go to Missing People and at the back of the book under Bibliography you find several pages with references to various newspapers articles re CL

The book is important for many reasons like publicity for the cause , for missing people and the young ones 11 years is a longI read the book when it first went on sale and was really disappointed as it just seemed to contain info that was already in the public domain. As the Police and PL believed the answer lied in the NH dont understand why time and money was spent in bothering to write the book
Which theory do you favour @Inspector Evans ?
sorry if this sounds patronising, but I feel this case really does matter to several posters...dont really do hugs, but wanted to pass on respect.
we have to hope that something will crack this...its not impossible and not necessarily a confession....
popejohn...things being dug up in York....is there a it was the vikings wot done this theory
sorry to joke...sometimes you have to ease up a bit

These are wise words .I think police is at deadlock until someone slips up/speaks out for whatever reason. And no certainty it will happen given it's 11 years and counting. Really a long time to wrestle with your conscience.
Perp probably isn't looking over their shoulder anymore and those in their inner circle happy with their lives so don't want their disruption (if they know of course).
Body remains would help of course but again 11 years suggests it's been expertly disposed of. My gut is it was swept away in the Ouse, probably before CL was even reported missing.
That said would love to know what they sent in the file to the CPS and why they didn't think the evidence they had was strong enough to stand up in court.
But the month after that, surely ?I don't doubt people's intentions. Learnt so much more on this case in last six months since I joined in January so thinks to all who've taken this hobby and really worked on scrutinizing many details. Certainly hope one day we get some sort of answer as to CL's probable demise and why.
I just don't think it will be tomorrow when that all happens. Or next month.
That makes 11 people !This maybe unpopular, but why do PL and JL rarely (if ever) get mentioned as possible suspects in CL's disappearance?
They were the last 2 people to speak to Claudia and we only have their word on the conversations that took place on the evening of 18th March 2009.
How easy would it have been for either of them to have lured Claudia to her demise?
You and me and everyone else in here !dbm, because of nullity
