Yes. What concerns me about the police is that they don't mention if the car then disappeared here or stopped for a time. Had it slowed, picked someone up and moved on. It would have been picked up at next CVTV camera at end of Heworth road. It may have gone to Nags head car park. My view is it was slowing up because as you say it was entering a 29 mph zone and the road surface colour changed. Could have been a cautious motorist?

Reversing lights as it parked in a nearby property? Are the police baiting one of the suspects and/or jolting the locals to fill in the gaps?

@MajorLang The police said that the mobile signal was detected within 9 miles from the Uni and covered the Heworth area. Tockwith marks the 9 mile limit and it's in the sàme direction as Acomb.

Apparently CL mother said she would have reported to police earlier. But she didn't do?? I think that her dad was correct and dismissed the arguing couple. Personally that was either staged by culprits or even an argument between culprits

It doesn't mention masks though! An affair with a man yes (possible) and a DVD with 10 men..But god knows if any of that is true. Who knows...we can't even believe MSM let alone anything else! Ie some random on reddit! Poor Claudia deserves this whole thing to be solved, sorted and respectfully laid to rest. It breaks my heart. All I can hope is that such a baffling and bequilling case that generates such interest serves to (as it seems to be) ensuring that Claudia is found and that answers are provided.

I think in this modern world of science and immediate answers to questions, that we as a caring society expect immediate answers to our questions surrounding why bad things happen.... why/when/how etc. The fact that we dont have any answers here with this beautiful girl missing is perplexing and makes us search for the answers she deserves. Police strongly suggest local connection, so we must go with this? They must really have hit a brick wall as case now reactive only!!! We must find something to make them react!

I read a blog from the german barmaid on a website called "Meium" who worked at Nags Head up to December 2008 and in the blog she mentioned a posting on Reddit from a user Union_jane who mentioned that there was a discussion around CL appearing in a DVD with 4 others who wore masks to conceal their identity. Sounds very relevant and if not a coincidence is a concern. Do you know of this?

Some commenters may have read between some of the lines in my account but then I had to read between some of yours first of course. If that's because it really is most likely him/them then bravo, but if it was a way for individuals to consciously deflect blame/attention towards people you know to be innocent because accusative you are the culprit/s or protecting whoever is, well I hope they get you in the end.

I agree dad said description did not match Claudia in the arguing couple reports, I hadn't heard Joan thought he should have reported Claudia as missing earlier though? She does often say that she did not know what went on in the 1st 48 hrs though. It is so detrimental IMO that they dont speak! It wasn't Suzy who went to Claudia's house to search for her on the 19th it was the then landlord of Nags and her father.

Interesting-Why do people think that she would have walked to work in the morning when the same cameras that caught her walking home the afternoon before did not catch her walking to work the next day?

In this article it states that Jen last saw Claudia "3 days before she went missing"- According to most people CL went missing on 19th. Or last day seen was 18th.

Cheltenham day was Friday 13th March 2009

3 days would be Monday 13th March and by all accounts the last day Claudia was in Nags Head was Cheltenham Day 13th..

May just be bad reporting???

Thanks for clarifying @Yozzer So In according to Jen, she went missing on Wednesday 18th and not Thursday 19th. My opinion is that she went missing on Wednesday also. (Last time seen or heard) The sightings of someone similar to her the next morning was from information provided to the police from anonymous sources that despite Police requests have not come forward????

@Kiri Completely agree. Many say that the police have messed things up and that they should do more. In my opinion, they have reached a point where they know what happened and who did it. They have been met with silence and due to not having the evidence that a good defence could pick holes in they have had to Halt. Even if they found a body, it would be unlikely that this would improve matters, unless the location linked to other evidence. They are keeping their powder dry in case they need it in court. I'm sure people are being watched.

Yes I wondered too. If it wasn't Snelling (who lived in Burnholme) nor a taxi, nor someone who had driven along Malton Road, nor someone living/parked up on Heworth Road, nor someone who had driven along Heworth Green they must have driven from or through the fairly vast residential area around Stockton Lane (residential cctv?). Seems police are being deliberately open ended

I gathered that Suzy last met with Claudia at the Nag's on the Friday (13th). I remember she fairly regularly spent Saturday and Sunday with family in Leamington Spa so that jives with what I remember. Jen last saw Claudia on the Sunday (15th) which I think is the last time Claudia attended the pub until the Thursday she had arranged to meet Suzy, but never turned up for. Four days between planned visit to the pub and the last is unusual from what I remember: either because of courting this mystery person or because of something that happened the last time she visited the Nags.
