So there were two sober drivers and space in both cars for corrie if he needed to get back with them.

I doubt any of them were driving back, it does however suggest there was a large group of them out. Which raises
The question - why did no one leave with him? There is usually a couple
Of lightweights who would go for food early. He seems suspiciously alienated from his peers repeatedly through the night.

An interesting thought. Perhaps he wasn't quite "one of the lads".

I noted that someone on facebook did say he was acting hard in the pub before hand, maybe they got feed up with him. Sad as it sounds, it happens.

They didn't take him with them either at the beginning of the night

Loud, gregarious, team medic...that sets him apart straight away within a close knit military community. Drawing attention to the crowd off base is a no, no.

I think he ended up alieneated as he was the only one asked to leave the club and imo in those circumstances the bouncers don't let you go and find your mates to fill them in on what's happening. We've heard nothing from the mates so maybe they weren't that good friends, maybe just a group going from the same place to the same place but more of a loose arrangement than a similar sized group of girls would have. I suspect they didn't feel responsible for each other and in fact Nicola has said she doesn't blame the others in the group at all for not making sure Corrie was rounded up at the end of the night

I don't think he was 'third thought' territory. Possibly a reluctant first definite second...
'Have we got all the lads?',
'Yeh, except Corrie.',
'Where is the muppet?'
'He'll get a lift with X into BSE, he'll be fine.'
'Well he's still part of the team. Make sure he's OK for a lift in to BSE will ya!'

Followed by a nod of acknowledgement. Get my drift?

I don't know BSE at all but if there's a large local military populcation locally both UK and US wouldn't they stand out anyway regardless of how loud or gregarious they were?

A question for a local really - is it always obvious in the town which the servceis groups are?

Yes, that sounds totally credible

I posted that about 20 pages ago and got shot down for it, but sadly agree x

Theyre big boys who play big boys rules. I can understand why they don't necessarily look out for each other. They can handle themselves (evidently not Corrie in this instance).

After the muppet part, I think the conversation may have finished.

To be fair in my experience, most military don't act like that (they would stick together and would never leave someone on their own) - unless they are the medic (who is often mocked)

Not a local, but military do stand out on a night out - they are a very bonded group who have each other's backs. Nobody knows your parents, or who you were and in a few years you will move on- you enjoy the night without the paranoid constraints that many people live with (such and such knows my parents/grandparents etc)

Last year a RAF Reg guy came into an Airborne pub in Colchester bumping his gums, and lets just say doing that to aload of parachute reg guys. Never a good look. Just goes to show how bold some RAF Reg can be. A few of the airborne guys couldn't believe it. Bold! Brave! Or stupid. Just saying. Not saying corrie was like this. But Reg do think they are bullet proof.

Also his own Brother said he is a 1 man Army in an interview. Just saying.

The theories about him WAITING for a lift... his Mum said ages ok in a reply on the FB page "he clearly did not fall asleep intentionally". From what we know events seem random that night... getting chucked out Flex (however people wish to phrase it this sounds what happened), to falling asleep in the doorway, to not making it home. If he fell asleep because he was drunk and had no control over it. He can't have been mugged in the doorway as suggested as it would be on TV and there would be info out there he was mugged there and he wouldn't be seen casually strolling with hands in pockets if he had been when he woke up, surely he would be running around and swearing? Could he just not have walked up Short Brackland and fallen or laid down somewhere unseen and hasn't been discovered. It's said there isn't CCTV coverage 100%. Maybe he did stop for a pee, put his phone on the bin, forgot it as pissed and walked up the road where there's no CCTV. The bin area really doesn't seem dark, dingy and blink and you miss it as you walk through. There are far, far worse places. It's too random for muggings turning into murders and abductions?

Now I'm TOTALLY on your wavelength ;) Per Ardua.
I think that term was probably meant as in he could hold his own character. Not necessarily in a battle.

Could he have been meeting someone who worked locally say in a bar and finished at 3.15 or 3.30. Sorry first post
