The man running - do you get the feel he was out getting his exercise (like, a nightly run or before heading into work early) or does he look like he's running for a reason, like he's getting the hell out of there? I'm not a runner so I can't tell

Looks to me like he's just on the edge of being &@£/ed judging by him playing bagatelle off the buildings when the camera zooms in.

I'm relatively satisfied now that there is one person, seen in 4, 5 and legs in 6, who is "patrolling" the area. This is the individual who knows something.

In 6, do they stop and turn to watch the runner, or do they stop and turn to make sure the runner passes the hotspot (Horseshoe) that they have been patrolling.

They've done a good job of hiding their identity, using hood and sticking to the walls and out of the light (for CCTV camera detection). But what they hadn't counted on is that frequency and retracing steps no matter whether you are identifiable or not, also gives a lot away.

The guy running could have a major clue. If he knows who it was down the alley that made him run on the right hand side to avoid them, he may know who this Horseshoe patrolling so-and-so is. It could be possible that others are aware of this patrolling person, even if they only know this patroller from that night only, for example it may only have been this night that Brentgrovel had a person loitering and these people, as locals, noticed that (even subconsciously) hence Corrie's apprehension, the running man staying to one side, etc.

Ok thats very speculative, but I think, with this new CCTV footage, there is reason to believe that someone is loitering up and down Brentgrovel street that night, possibly with bad intentions. A person who knows how to use the shadows and to obfuscate the CCTV. That person may also have thrown the phone in the bin. Sadly, their fingerprints (though it looks like this person may be wearing gloves) would now be at the bottom of a landfill.

Edit, about the legs, apparently " the police are aware of this person." But that doesn't mean he/she is identified yet.

A little sappy here but in the states, today is our Thanksgiving - a time to reach out and tell people you're happy they're in your life... so on that note, Thank You, everyone on this thread for the countless hours and great insight you've all devoted here. And especially to Dcflag and anyone else who made it to the pod to view the CCTV footage. It just shows what amazing people you are to go above and beyond for someone in need. Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy thanksgiving! Hope you're having a lovely family filled day

I would have thort that after nearly 9 weeks they would have had plenty of time to look at CCTV, all they need to do is track the running man back on last camera then the next, to all we know he might have been running from the other side of town and just passing by, and ware did this group of people just appear from, ware were they before, did any of them walk past the door way and see corrie asleep, this should have all been done within the first few weeks, and the family apparently saw CCTV in the first few weeks, uncle tony gives nothing away well maybe it's about time to put the cards on the table and let the public help for once, people don't just vanish but we seam to have plenty of people appearing out of no ware,

Just want to add now that we've seen more CCTV, it seems as if there is a big "window" when the Horseshoe area is not covered by CCTV. The camera that saw him walk over to the bins only points in that specific direction for 10 seconds or so. It then presumably swings back round to St John's Street, and as you can't see the Horseshoe when it's zoomed out (where we see the running man originally) that means there's at least a 30 second window to do something in or around the bins and not be seen by anything or anyone. You could pull someone away from the bins and into Short Brackland without ever being noticed. I'm not sure where outside of the Horseshoe you would need to be to next be detected by CCTV, from what we've seen so far it looks like MacDonalds, the St Johns/Brentgrovel corner, and nothing so far about Short Brackland street.

Had anyone confirmed Short Brackland street is actually covered by CCTV in any capacity, near or not so near the horseshoe? Google street view would suggest there are none. You can clearly see the other 2 CCTV cameras in street view.

The legs are more or less where people say they thought they saw someone standing when Corrie ran past in his cctv.

Unconfirmed but I thought the running footage was closer to 4.30am

I really hope this has helped, I just feel awful it wasn't done sooner as they could have found these people much much earlier when the night wasn't so long ago. Having said that did they show this cctv in the first hub?

The "normal" people help....
...and "23" go unidentified.

This is a case where "questions" are asked of our society. Maybe it is our society that is causing these problems ?

I see the legs now but I'm not convinced they are actually real human legs. People are saying on the Facebook link that the police pointed out the legs though so they may be kegs after all. I think it looks like a cat!

After viewing the limited pieces of cctv that we have seen I can assume that there was no struggle/fight/unwillingness from the movement (if any) from the horseshoe area as someone would have most likely heard/seen something which leads me back to my original theory - Corrie, grinder, arranged meet.

On the laptop with the big screen you can see the legs walk into view and it looks like shoes. Apparently top right corner on one of the indoor shots you can see a car

Watch it on a laptop, make the image full screen, I didn't see it initially, look just under the bright lamp/light on the left, as running man goes past, you see some legs briefly, but then the camera follows running man so you no longer see the legs...

Without a doubt a person. Otherwise a cat about the size of a leopard or lion.
